The people wiped out by the Indonesian Tsunami didnt stand much a chance.

Maybe lobby your locales to enhance early warning systems.

Keep an app in your phone to warn you.

Oh, and keep these in your satchel LOL:

Step 1. Don't be near the water.
Step 2. Get even farther from the water.

And higher than the water.

Much higher.

Some think that a tsunami of more than 2-3,000' is likely in the not distant future. I don't know about their logic or evidence . . . but that could travel a long ways . . . in say . . . Florida . . . or the Texas coast . . .

I have to say thank you.
We moved to higher ground, but we live on the north coast of PR, and it is common knowledge that it is a matter of when not if it happens again.
The deepest trench in the Atlantic not so far away, all it takes is the landslide in the trench or another good earthquake. to send one at us.
Will be reviewing all resources you provided again with family.
Escape routes is like a hobby with us so we got that one covered at least

If Florida becomes an island, we'd still be on the dry part, so at least there's that.
