I Laugh my ass off when the news spends less than a minute on a serious scientific question about our weather, the world, or space and then spend the next half hour debating about a worthless football player mooning fans, or prince Harry's costume, or that Amber Fey bitch.

They do a fine job covering disasters and all, yet never spend time on the
most important facts. Thye just cover the tragic stories and never spend time on the issues I, and most other people really want to know.

Here is a good read but I dont like how this Russian lady ends all of her articles by pretty much calling all westerners ignorant.

Im not a doomsdayer but its definatley worth a read.

Well... talking more about weird weather phenomenons would be bad PR for Dubya&Co's and big money corporations' claims.

Remember that medias are owned by big money.

Also remember that corporations and others are even "education" system/trying to change it to propaganda machine.

Very good thread, thank you for this! It's a completely valid point, and it's scary.

Climate change is something the public needs to know, because it physically affects everyone. Through the media's strategy of ignoring weather changes, the population is in danger because of its ignorance. I think, though, there is only so much time left before weather begins to affect even those who are in power of the media itself - climate change does not choose its victims. Then, the truth will have to be revealed...probably too late for many lives and dollars.
