"No one thinks!!"

What do you base that notion on through?

Maybe we all think collectively on some level. An indication of such may be the fact that numerous different technological leaps have been discovered simultaneously by different people or that the form of a pyramid structure has been adopted across different parts of the globe at different time periods by civilizations that had no interaction with one another.

What do you base that notion on though?

Thoughts just happen - there is no one in there thinking.
You are merely the witness of whatever arises (appears) - including thought.

In this discourse excerpt from an October 10, 2004, Adi Da Samraj explains how all the beings and things that we tend to presume have an independent existence are in fact only apparitions arising in a single, universal Consciousness and are modifications of a single, underlying Divine Reality. Avatar Adi Da notes that even our thinking process is a part of this apparition. He says that even thoughts themselves are only an activity arising in Consciousness, and, if we were to truly examine this activity, we would notice that we are NOT generating the thinking process.

Yes but even if we are part of the whole we still think in a variety of different fashions. If indeed we share a group consciousness we do not share the same experience, at least not on any level we are able to understand yet.

Science is the key to understanding the Human condition, we need to know where our consciousness resides and how it relates to the reality we experience as an individual before we attempt to ponder the other wonders of our makeup.

Should the notion of the Holographic principle hold any weight our universe may turn out to be a simulation, or more lightly a simulation of a simulation, but that does not make the reality we experience any less real to us.

Do you think 'your consciousness' resides somewhere else? It is like there is 'consciousness' and a 'separate you' looking for 'your' consciousness!! What is needing to know where consciousness resides?
Seek that which is seeking and it will be over. The answer to 'where consciousness resides' will not come from science - it will come from direct looking - not from knowledge.

Should the notion of the Holographic principle hold any weight our universe may turn out to be a simulation, or more lightly a simulation of a simulation, but that does not make the reality we experience any less real to us.

What is ultimately real? What actually is?
The image that is appearing presently is as real as it is gonna get - is there anything other?

I don't know where consciousness resides, lets just say our brain plays a part in running our software(consciousness).

As to what real, well that depends on how we define the reality we can observe.

Ultimately we have yet to design the tools to fathom or understand 95% of the universe(reality).

So whats real is rather debatable at present given our lack of understanding of reality.

There are six consciousnesses one for each sense sphere; the mind is what dashes and darts around all of them in focus but the perception of whatever that is is not internal or external it simply is... the label others and oneself give it is an empty concept and not what it actually is; but in order to communicate the non-reality is invoked.

The ego and delusion is what says those concepts are real and tangible; but those concepts and the self that mistakes them as real is variable and impermanent. Now becoming this, now becoming that... hungry, desirious and insatiable.

Pacify it.

Here is an example of "immortals" as seen by the Hopi Indians:

The following quote is from the book "ALIEN INTELLIGENCE" by Stuart Holroyd, Copyright 1979:

"Legends of the culture-bearer from the sky are also found in Egypt, where he is named Osiris, in India [the Vedic god Agni], in Mexico [Quetzalcoatl], and in Iran and China..... In their ceremonials the Hopi Indians of Arizona still remember the Kachina people, a clan of non-human beings, who guided the Hopis to the lands they made their home and imparted a wealth of occult knowledge to them. This knowledge was the basis of the religion and the husbandry the Hopis practised in their arid region. The Anthropologist Frank Waters, who compiled and published "The Book of the Hopi", based on oral accounts of their traditions and beliefs given by thirty-two contemporary Hopi elders, writes that:

The Kachina people did not come to the Fourth World like the rest of the people. IN FACT THEY WERE NOT PEOPLE. They were spirits sent to give help and guidance to the clans, taking the forms of ordinary people and being commonly regarded as the Kachina Clan.....

According to Hopi cosmology and legendary history the human race inhabited three other planetary worlds before it came to the planet Earth, and in its evolution it must move on to three more worlds yet. Beyond these worlds there lie two other realms, the ninth and last being that of the Creator himself. Man tends to corrupt and destroy his world although with each new emergence he starts out pure. However, a few individuals who lead pure and perfect lives become Kachinas when they die and do not have to be reincarnated into the plodding cycle of human evolution. They go to another universe, whence they may return periodically to guide man's further evolution and help him in various ways in his present life."

As I stated earlier "Ascended Masters" who can interact with normal living beings on Earth are part of the mythology of many Western, Eastern, and pagan religions - But could you say these "immortals" also live with us in the here and now?
Maybe - But then again where exactly is here and now ? - And would you be aware of an immortal if you were interacting with one ?

What would you expect from them?

One can read a billion volumes, research countless libraries, be given thousands of recipes... but none of that is applying... just searching.

Well there has been lots of discussion and very helpful answers to my question... Thanks to all involved for your contribution to this thread :-)

Guess in the end were all immortal (in spirit) but one day mumanity will have a cure to the human condition and ultimately live forever or much longer than we do now,, think it would be hidden underground except for the ones that can afford it.

Please keep discussing the subject as much as you wish and i'll have more to comment on when I read this whole thread.
