Feeling fatigued and blah, I'm going to lie down and try to watch a movie.

Have a great night everyone! See you all tomorrow!

A shout out to any missing members... From the bottom of my heart, you are loved and missed terribly!

Why, am I dying? LOL

I was trying to say in the post that went poof... how proud I was of everyone here in the shed, from our oldest members to the very latest and new ones. You are here for one another and for me with beautiful pictures or funny ones or videos and music and story telling and reaching out and forming friendships. I hope this continues to be a place of solace, magic and fun for you all.

I wanted to apologize for not being here as much as I have wanted to be lately and missing so many of you with my messed up schedule. I have either been very busy or stressed over my health issues and sick of Doctors and tests and chronic pain. Just a bit overwhelmed sometimes. Just know this, that I am here every single day and reading all that you post.

Let your love and light shine out into the world my Sheddites!

Have you tried alternative treatments?

Hello Honey! Glad you liked the post!

Not sure what you can do for spinal stenosis, nerve damage in legs, arthritis etc. etc.I have lousy medical coverage so alternative stuff won't be covered, or most things probably won't. There are a bazillion alternative treatments and herbs and what-not. I could go to the poor house trying them all. And certain medications and herbs do not mix well and can actually be harmful. I have a cousin who goes to one of those natural docs and her problems aren't solved.

Right now there is a problem they can't seem to figure out what's causing it yet, which means a specialist and then more tests. After cancer and countless appointments and doctor's visits some years back and now my Doctors being extra cautious. I know they are trying to be thorough and doing their jobs but I swear if I hear, "Well because of your past history" one more time I am going to scream. LOL

Without a car, I have to rely on others and go around their schedules so it's a pain in the butt. I just want to be left alone and go on with my life without things always hanging over my head. That's all.

Thanks for letting me vent. I'll be ok. Just need some rest tonight. HUGS!

See you and everyone tomorrow. Usually when I sign off for the night and say tomorrow it's already morning. So...later today.

Just a quick good morning to all the amazing Shedigans out there...
work is already fired up this morning.

Quant: I think you did some shaking last night...any damage your way? I think it was a 5.2 quake...

Good morning, I was working and around 1:00 am we felt a jolt. It's always shaking around here. No damage. It's not a nice feeling to feel the earth shake.

It is starting to calm down. Meditech (our HCIT system) went completely nuts this morning. I have smacked it back into shape, LOL.

We are going to Burke's Garden this weekend for a half marathon. This is one of my favorites!!!! There is a huge Amish community that lives there and they come out and fix an enormous home style breakfast. They also bring breads and jams and home made ice cream to sale. YUMMY!!!!!
It is a beautiful community that sits on the plateau of a mountain top.

Do you have anything fun planned this weekend? Do you work weekends or are you off?

Lol, you smacked it into shape!

Wow that place looks amazing. Wish I could go. What kind of breakfast do the Amish make?

I made a pancake half hour ago and was on the phone, well guess how burnt it was lol. Yuck

How are you doing with the earth shaking under your feet?

Any chance you could move to higher ground, and by that I don't mean a high rise!

Santa Monica Beach is just that, and rather close to sea level...

In a perfect world, this would be a great time to visit your Mom, but I know your boss won't let you off. Are you following the other thread on the shaking?

Keep in touch. I'll be in and out but worried about you!

I have a question for the older members. While this may be just be me, I'm still curious.

Since you have become a member of the Shed, has your dynamic of how you interact on the rest of ATS changed any?

Ill try to explain this question from my point of view. I joined the Shed when it was Shed 4. Since then, how I deal with ATS has changed. It used to be the first place I went too and read the new post that I had any interest in diligently. I was also always on the look out for something that I could contribute from the news or whatever to share with the rest of the members.

Now, this is the first place I come and while I still give the new post a lookover, I cant say as I really pursue contributing all the much anymore except for here.

Perhaps the Shed founders had this happen in the beginning and have now got past it? Is it me and I'm just personally stuck somehow? Can anyone relate too this at all?

Now that the question is out of the way, Thank you for the well wishes and yes Zazz those Gifs were great. Can never go wrong with kitty fun.

Right now I'm trying to avoid taking a trip to the hospital, but If I do go quiet, youll know where I am. I'm guessing I will still be able to read here once I'm settled, but hopefully I can just avoid going all together.

You folks have become very dear too me. Have yourselves a good day if at all possible

Last year they had biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, and all kind of pasties. It will take Paul about 2 hours to run it and I plan on eating the whole time...I still have 25 pounds left to gain!!! LOL

They are the BEST cooks EVER!!!! When we go to Gatlinburg we will find you some Amish food to eat or I will stop and get some of their homemade bread and jams to bring for snacks.

Good morning Fishy!!! How are you today?

a reply to: onehuman

Oh I do hope you can avoid the hospital, urg, I work here and I hate this place. LOL
As for how I react to ATS, yes it has totally changed. The Shed is my first and sometimes my only stop. I used to hit the Recent page, then the top page. Now I hit The Shed and if I have time I mill around the other forums but The Shed comes first. LOL

I think it's a natural adaptation. In the Shed, the risk is less and the reward is greater, on the whole. You come here and are hopefully welcomed and embraced. That happens on very few other threads. You also aren't criticized on how you posted, unless it is well deserved.

It is a different experience. To me it is like a safe zone, so long as Syx isn't flying overhead, but that's just me and the rest of you can get an umbrella.

Fishy

I'm adding an edit here though, as I don't think it does tribute to ATS to "only" come to the Shed, especially with all the ATS maintenance involved. We didn't come to ATS for the Shed. For me, the Shed keeps me here, as it is a time out place, but what brought us to ATS sill has to be appreciated and interacted with, or we become, with a wince, part of the problem rather than part of the solution of what ATS is about.
