Wow this is ridiculous

Just ANOTHER example of what we can expect if we continue to let people use indoor bathrooms

I agree.

Men in particular shouldn't be allowed to visit bathrooms at all.

If we were to base bathroom laws on actual facts and statistics, cis-gender heterosexual white males in their 30's should not be allowed to use public restrooms of any sort.

But that would be stupid. Because trans.

I know, it's a shame the crybaby liberals had to make such a big stink about this all. If they had just shut up and stayed focused on tearing apart the constitution, none of this would have happened.

No argue about that.

But, imagine a sick male person changing his gender and becoming a female, only so he could do this same thing to girls, but without drawing too much attention, because no one suspects a female to be pedophil.

BUT I think laws are needed.

Ludicrous. You realize that exact scenario happened in California, right? Our resident right winger snagged a blatantly misleading article off Breitbart referencing an incident from a couple years ago (Breitbart posted it with a changed date on it to make it seem as if it had just happened) and people noticed the freaking camera and called the police.

My god people are genuinely sheltered if they think this is some new age thing that hasn't happened until recently.

How about a law that says all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in a public restroom?

I can guarantee you that my 16 year old self would rather go take a leak in the alley behind a store than have my mommy or daddy take me to the restroom in a public building.

As would my self at pretty much any age over 9 or 10.

Making a big stink. . . . in a bathroom.

hahahahahahaha

(sorry, was 14 again)

We need less laws and more armed people. Then the population of pedophiles would be greatly reduced.

Problem solved!

At that age, I'd have hated it too...but who gives a crap what kids want?; It's for their own safety.
We have plenty of other laws for their own safety that kids don't like.

Edit:
NOTE TO DBC:...I just said "who gives a CRAP?" heh...heh...

If the perecentage of heterosexual and homosexual men who are pedophiles is roughly the same, given the fact that heterosexuals greatly outnumber homosexuals, this illustrates that men aentering womens bathrooms puts girls at a much greater risk.

The risk and discomfort experienced by girls and women greatly outweighs the alleged discomfort of a tiny percentage of trannys and cross-dressers.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Honestly, this thread sounds like the progressives are now concerned about discriminating against pedophiles.

That's a very good point.

It wouldn't be too far removed from reality either, I feel, if they truly had their way. Instead you'd here such tripe as "differently orientated"..... Oh wait......

Just seems like common sense that we should be doing anything possible to protect our children from pedophiles...instead of pushing a progressive cause at the expense of their personal safety.

Shouldn't child safety take precedence over everything else?

I think you need to go back and read those statistics more carefully. Most of the pedophiles who molest boys are still hetero. Often married with a family.

Being a pedophile trumps their sexuality (and no, I'm not convinced pedophilia is a sexuality any more than "rapeysexuality" is)

And what, exactly, does your proposed law stop from happening? Pervs are still gonna perv. It's not as if the law gives parents the right or authority to preemptively punch somebody who looks like they might be a perv.

Or does it?

Okay. I honestly believe the pedophile would be less apt to approach a child when the child has his parent with him.
Do you disagree?

EDIT: In the OP case, it was probably the parent with his kid that caught the pedo.

I honestly believe that making a law that requires every parent to escort every minor to and from the restroom is a ridiculous overreach.

"But think of the children!" can be applied to nearly anything. Minors shouldn't walk down the street unescorted because a car might jump the curb and hit them. Or a pedo will try to snatch them.

Minors shouldn't go to school unescorted because there might be a school shooting. Or a teacher might be a pedo and hit on them.

Minors shouldn't spend the night at friends' houses unescorted because there might be booze. Or a pedo might break in.

God help the parent who takes their minor child to a store and allows the minor to go look at video games and the minor decides he needs to take a leak and has the audacity to go by himself.

Edit: so I guess the fact that the minor had a parent with him IN THE BATHROOM did in fact not stop the perv from perving.

I'm specifically talking about pedos and parents protecting children from them in public restrooms. That is what this thread is discussing.
Talking about walking down the street or going to school is only clumsy and intentional obfuscation of my point...and not one in your favor.

Eh. Not so much. Because my point is that "but think of the children!" is stupid. The examples I gave, whether you like that or not, are other examples of situations that adults can and do prey on children and yet nobody is proposing making those situations one that require, by law, an adult to escort a minor.

And enacting a law such as you propose while pointing to an incident in which the very thing you propose to make law didn't stop it from happening isn't really something I would consider "in your favor."

Just because you don't like it doesn't make it a poor point.

Other than it helped catch the POS...and probably helped save other kids from being accosted by this child predator.
