Read the whole story. The kids charged in the rape were all black teens. Trump knew this before he placed his ad.
It was later when the kids were exonerated and trump lashed out when they were released and awarded for wrongful imprisonment that he really bomb out by saying these kids don't have an angel past. So. It didn't matter to trump that they were actually innocent. In his eyes they must have done something.
Like I said you will defend this man no matter what. I'm done.

And ? Are you saying that black people are the only ones raping people? Or are you saying that trump thinks that only black people can be rapist?

He opposed rape and murder. All races are guilty of this in the U.S or anywhere else in the world. I dont think that is much of a enigma to anybody so it must be the former, You assume only black people commit rape crimes and murder and therefor trump is racist for suggesting the death penalty for it.

But thanks for linking me this. I will be sure to show the piece to a lot of feminists who already are asking to make it illegal to question a woman's rape allegation.

None of which would stand up in court.

??? Is this a court room? I don't have to see it stand up in court to know the type of person Trump is.

Donald was sued by the justice dept for racial discrimination.
He admits to saying "the blacks are lazy." " It's probably true", he said when asked about those statements.
He admits it but I'm making it up. Laughable.

So, how is calling a person of Mexican decent a Mexican racist but black people want me to call them African American which is their heritage.

Who wants to tell me that one?

Even so, that's what Appeals Courts are for, not Presidential elections.

You never heard those comments because they where never seen spoken.

I "heard" them in a thread here. (Actually read them). I didn't hear Donald say them.

Ignoring Trump's Record of Racism

n his 1991 book Trumped!, the former president of Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino, John R. O’Donnell, recalled Trump declaring that “laziness is a trait in blacks,” and exclaiming: “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.” Trump acknowledged in a Playboy interview (5/97; cited Huffington Post, 4/29/11), “The stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true.”

Exactly.

In short. You know nothing of its validity but we do know the questionable source from where it came who also has no witnesses to offer as it happens.

Good that we got that cleared up. I am at least educated enough to not simply believe Novels , movies and shady sources and attempt to pass judgement based on it. Even better is that i dont need to.

He is using his platform as the presumptive nominee to highlight an (non)issue in which he has a vested interest. The case has no bearing on the election and, ideally according to the Constitution, the election should have no bearing on the case.

Precisely! That is troubling now. I cannot remember a presumptive nominee who has had a court case like this. And Trump is using the power of the nominee to influence criminal/civil matters. If he and those around him are doing this now with the power as a presumptive nominee, that does not bode well for his actions as a POTUS. Richard Nixon White House redux.

Look, Trump as private citizen can throw everything at his criminal/civil matters, including a racial angle, but Trump as political nominee should not.

With respect to the court case is that just Trump or anyone under investigation that is a nominee?

The very notion that you are equivocating Justice Sotomayor with Donald Trump is hilarious. And telling.

She may have said that race can impact judging but here's a hard and fast truth, it can't impact a RULING or it will get over-turned.

To extend your failed logic, only old white dudes should be allowed to hear cases. Yeah, that's not racist. /sarcasm.

So a wise latino can 'explain herself' but an old white man can't, right? That is what she did. Tried to pay it off as trying to empower the youth.

He is using his power? What power? He is a non-elected official. He is using this to show that there is a reverse prejudice in the US. That a white person has to sit and take it no matter what it is....

now the Donald Trump is feeling the weight of the potential presidency, he is getting cold feet and throwing the election to Hillary intentionally. That's what I think.

Notice the absence of Trump on the news lately? The neocon GOP sent him a little message.

Expect a "new" Donald...or he's gone.

He has been on multiple shows. This is bs. A distraction. All he keeps saying is that he wants to talk about issues and the MSM brings up non-issues. It is not him. He reacts and sometimes over the top but he is not the aggressor.

He doesn't want blacks counting his money and he wants them out of sight when big wigs check into his hotels. Sounds to me like he's fully committed to white supremacy.

My father and therefor half my family is black and my black cousin Sayid is sitting right next to me at this moment. Disgusting racist comments you can keep to yourself

Well done you managed to make one of the filthiest most racist comment i have ever seen anywhere on ATS.

Yeah ... except they didn't say it ... Trump did.

I see you desperately trying to spin back off this ... and yet you just can't. Deny, deny, deny ... *BOOM*

Oopse.

Let's see ...

Sotomayor: "My background (ethnicity) and life experiences (gender) will inform my judgements."

Trump: "He's a Mexican and he hates me because I want to build a wall. I don't want any Muslim judges either."

Paraphrasing yes.

The same thing?

Not by any stretch of any imagination. The only thing that would equivalate those two statements is called " a bald-faced lie."
