An 'immigrant hating' Frenchman who planned 15 mass attacks on the Euro 2016 football championship was today facing a range of terrorist charges after being arrested in Ukraine. Police announced the arrest of the 25-year-old, identified as Gregoire Moutaux, on the day the England team flew into Paris ready for the tournament's kick off on Friday. 'Gregoire was armed to the teeth and ready to strike,' said a source close to the investigation, who said details of targets emerged during questioning.

I got a bad feeling about these Euros.

I can see a few attacks happening because I'm sure they're all (extremists) planning night and day to make the most impact during the tournament.

I can see Europe going into meltdown over the next few months, BREXIT being the least of their problems.

Those elite that are PRO EU are desperate to make those who are against being in the EU look bad! I myself am a bit skeptical on the timing of this incident.

It isn't a secret that the government sets up patsies to sway the publics opinion? Remember the "Underwear Bomber"? How the FBI has got caught duping mentally challenged individuals on social media to set them up?

I would be real interested on this guys background before jumping to conclusion on this one.

Next time some Islamic state nutter gets caught with a van full of new gear and its all over the news, I just might.
(In fact I am sure that some of the attacks if not directly run by security services, have at least benefitted from selective myopia on their part).


Edited to add that I just read about the prevalence of Neo Nazis in the Ukranian military, so that might explain the new gear...Sympathetic kamerads and all that.

Wow they should get their facts straight !

ISIS and all their runts, grunts and sick # numpties will have their eyes on EURO 2016 because there is a massive opportunity for them to hit many EU nations in one or more hits. We would be foolish to think that there aren't a few fruit and nut cells plotting their targets as we speak, and unfortunately they have a good few to choose from.

Having said this. I hope it all passes without incident and that all take care. Be observant and safe!

Adding up the stuff I can see in the photos and what is officially reported, He had 5 AK47s, 2 RPGs with what looks like 18 rounds, 5000 rounds for the rifles and 125kg of explosives, plus 85kg for his weight, the total load, minus boxes etc comes to 418kg

The stated maximum load for a Berlingo L1 is 626kg so weight wise this looks reasonable.

Anyway, in summary, it doesn't seem so mad that he carried all that in such a little van.

Considering the neo Nazi nature of his targets and the fact that he went to the Ukraine for this stuff which appears new, I reckon it's reasonable to assume he picked it all up off a sympathetic QM in some army barracks or other.

Perhaps it was an email or some sort of message function on a far right website to arrange the pickup that led to him being tagged?

I think the Headline is all wrong on this one to scare people because he wasn't actually going to cause mayhem at any games at the euro's, he was going to gun down 'Muslims' & 'Jews' at the Mosques & synagogues!

Could not agree more. There is more to this than meets the eye. He was carrying plastic explosives. He was a former farm worker. You don't learn how to use plastic explosives without training. He's either an idiot mixed up in something he knows nothing about or this has more well established, organised roots behind it
