But its mental illness that drives them to jump off it in the first place.

You can suffer significant stress IN the act of almost falling off a sky scraper. See, I used the word "in" there too.

Yes, having the dysphoria, not understanding exactly what's going on, and having everyone tell you that you are nuts can cause significant stress. It can cause you stress in social situations with friends, it can cause you stress at your place of employment, it can cause stress in other situations where you deal with people who don't understand.

Still doesn't mean the DSM5 is saying that gender dysphoria itself is a mental illness.

It seems there's potential that a brain adulterated by synthetic gender hormones, which starts rewiring weird, that process alone might just cause distress as well.

The brain imaging scans show they they are dominate in either male or female brain structure which is why the transition or kill themselves.

You would be doing a lot of people a favor admitting that it's a condition of the mind.

Brain structure based on what? Hormones, genetic makeup...it is biology not a condition of the mind, of the brain, yes. The distressed condition comes when there is internal personal conflict and societal bias.

No, I read this article...which certainly has multidisciplinary medical professionals, but it is devoid of genetic input.

Where are the stats on people who retransgender after transgendering? I don't rule out mental illness being a factor for some people, but labelling all transgenders mentally ill, is another matter.

And BTW Dr. Paul R. McHugh is right you can resemble the opposite sex but truly you can never be that sex genetically.

Still, since the transgender movement is taking hold, what used to take years of transitions for those that truly wanted to have their sex change to resemble the opposite is now been rush without care and no tanking into consideration the consequences later on along the line.

No everybody that wants to change their sex now will have the fortitude to endure the painful transition and the sometimes very disastrous results at the end for some.

Changing once sex to resemble the opposite is not like changing your under wear is a lot more complicated than that.

Now even small children has been rushed into this sex change and transgender fad.
