There is not a single logical argument to suggest because Trump once joked about punching a protestor, that that gives the green light to any leftist who feels like it, to attack any Trump supporter they come across.

Ludicrous.

If you hate Trump, hate away. Taking it out on innocent bystanders and supporters is domestic terrorism.

I totally agree, well said. There is also a phenomenon that I just cant understand... in 2012 I knew tons of people claiming to be libertarians whom ended up not only voting for Obama in the end, but later transformed into full blown supporters of socialism.

How does one go from supporting a free market, ending corruption, returning to a society of thriving capitalism the way it was meant to work along with ending the fed, removing lobbyists etc to pure socialism?

From what I'm seeing right here in real life is many of those same people defending this junk. I just dont get it. I really dont. Something is going to snap soon, i just cant see this contiuing without things really getting insane.

Group think combined with our educational system increasingly producing followers, not leaders, and people who are not taught to question, think for themselves, think outside the box, independence, etc.

When your beliefs shift so suddenly, they weren't your beliefs in the first place. Far more likely it was more just to fit in with the crowd, ride with the tide, you know, follow.

I think the kind of libertarian you are talking about is the type who wants two things simultaneously: they are only libertarian inasmuch as they think it will get all their favorite vices legalized (drugs, gambling, prostitution), but at the same time, they deeply want that social welfare state.

In my opinion, they are really grown up children. They still want all of the fun of life without any of the responsibility. They want to play and have someone else pay. They think that's libertarianism, but it's not.

Back in the 60's and 70's the ANC in South Africa were doing the same thing as this lot of liberal "protestors" and by the late 70's and 80's the peer pressure intimidation graduated to Kipling's through necklacing and bombing of soft targets who disagreed with their agenda. How long before this happens here and Americans start dying because they disagree? Do people have to die before the protestors are deemed to be using terrorist methods or are the beatings and intimidation enough? This situation is spiralling towards insanity and if a group of people use intimidation and the threat of physical violence to promote a sociopolitical agenda, it looks like terrorist behavior to me.

So as more and more clips show women and men being terrorized by this mob, does it make people want to side with the politics that supports this, or the politics that wants to end this.

The are making live martyrs out of these people, they all have friends and family who they will tell.
For example lets say I am independent voter in California, and haven't made up my mind who I am voting for in November, and my son gets beat up near a Trump rally by a Mexican waving mob, suddenly I might be thinking wow Trump was right, you just turned people to the side your trying to stop.... idiots.

These protests are feeding the beast, and hunting people down that have a Trump cap on as they return to there cars is getting very ugly, what if one of the people being chased down is off duty cop ? What if he makes a phone call to his on duty peers that he is being attacked?

Liars are worse than hypocrites. Plenty of ATS liberals, and liberals in general, have condemned this violence. My benefit of the doubt is eroding this election season and having seen many of your posts, I tend to believe you know this very well but find something noble in propelling your false narrative forward. Please take a deep breath and find a moment for truth to intrude. No sane people, left or right, relish this violence or support it. There are varying degrees to which people think it is a depressingly unsurprising consequence of divisive political rhetoric on both sides of the aisle. One must be a fool to confuse the two.

You assumed wrong. I have spent many years in America and unless you are very well travelled have seen more of your country than you have. Are you lying or merely daft? No one on the left I know is siding with those acting out with violence. No one on the left I know believes folks don't have a right to go listen to Trump if that's their desire. You seem awfully eager to label a very large group of people as your sworn enemies. Can you show me where on ATS someone, much less a majority, has spoken in support of violence against Trump supporters on the back their being Trump supporters?
