I would be in the same position. I would WANT to tell my children that some people are sick in the head and that is why they do what they do but politicians want votes and they dont care if it comes from sick people. I am not allowed to discriminate or teach discrimination even though every bone in my body says it is wrong so what do I do?

I will get flack for this but it is what it is. I do not support transgender so I would be a hypocrit to complain about being descriminated against, myself.

Well, I believe that ignorance also covers thinking people can do whatever they want, regardless if it directly affects others or not, and there will be no residual consiquence.

Race is one thing and your mother is a smart woman to see that coming but I dont believe that post birth gender selection falls in the same category. I dont believe that society should bend to the whims of people so spoiled that they dont believe they should have to deal with the cards given to them. I have no patients for that type of ignorance.

This mostly blew up because of a child - - a 5th grade m/f transgender student.

There are thousands (low estimate) of transgender children in public school.

You want to out them to their classmates by forcing them to use a "special" facility?

The ACLU has supported the Obama administration’s guidance on transgender bathroom use in public schools — a principle Maya Dillard Smith stands strongly against.

She said she is in the process of educating herself on transgender issues, but claimed there was no room for dialogue at the ACLU.

Ms. Smith explained that the last straw for her was when her young daughters ran into three transgender adults in the women’s bathroom.

“I have shared my personal experience of having taken my elementary school age daughters into a women’s restroom when shortly after three transgender young adults over six feet with deep voices entered,” she wrote. “My children were visibly frightened, concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer.”

Apparently, this women was the head of the ACLU in Georgia.

Three men over 6 feet tall, with deep voices, wearing dresses walk into a women's bathroom and somehow thats "ok" or permitted.

I dont have any kids so I have no idea how I would handle our latest 1st world problem.

I suppose I would either accompany them or escort them.

I fully realize that men were free to enter a lady's room prior to these cross-dressing laws but now that its becoming "legal", it seems like incidents in women's bathrooms are becoming more frequent.

I think that's pretty important.

This just seems like something to distract people from exploring more important issues of society right now, like nuclear war, climate change, deforrestation and a host of other things that could really have lasting implications on humanity.
