Call me "old fashioned" but I believe that we should work together, and by trying to make us "equal" it is putting more strain on us all to change and adapt to these new "social norms".

Isn't this just your personal feeling?

Personal feeling reinforced by facts I have provided such as the rising rates in depression. Which is also science.

Annee you have no idea, and I behave in a way that is completely accepted within my high stress field that is primarily men, and also service and technologically driven, boisterous has a place, if you want to call me a "little boy" you can pound sand,I take care of mine, do you have a problem with that?

Maybe you should explain that to the OP. When we are discussing sociological issues, she says her thread is not about that, it's all about "science", when in fact, her thread IS all about sociological philosophy, no?

I take into account the effects on society which is a science, not just someone's personal feelings on the matter. I have made my point over and over that this isn't about an advocacy it's about the effects.

But, no one seems to be understanding you.

Why is that?

Beats me. I guess people just don't like to indulge in science or unless they find the one or two articles they can drudge up that support their "facts". Instead of trying to come up with a cohesive solution, it's always the same "You better think my way or you are wrong and I am going to personally attack you."

So far in this thread, my physical looks have been talked about, my intellect has been challenged and I have basically been told that science is not a viable reason to come to the conclusion that the current gender climate was brought on by forcible change and our biological predisposition. So questioning my motives in this thread seems shallow and pedantic.

Resorting to comments about someone personally and presuming to know their basic attitude towards life just shows the character of those who are speaking not those who are being spoken to.

I have no idea?

I wasn't just born under a turnip yesterday. I'm now on my third generation of kid raising.

What is the general area of your job?

My daughter drives one of those humongous trucks in a Gold Mine. Her opinion of "boisterous men" - - "boys being boys" - - is not printable here.

Funny.

I was raised in an all boy neighborhood with 2 brothers. I was 12 when another girl finally moved into the neighborhood.

Then there's the misconception that strong women like weak men.

It seems misconceptions are the prevailing left foot, as in traditional gender roles and gender stereotyping. Alpha, Beta, Schmeda.

A lot depends on how a woman is raised. I'm from a generation that was taught to cater to the man, make the man happy, deny yourself, etc.

Women weren't supposed to be assertive or demand anything for themselves, so they used other means.

There are still religious groups who believe the woman was made to be subservient to man.

So, when you say "weak" woman - - - she may not be. She may just be brainwashed. That tends to explode later in life.

Here we go...

Please spare me the story about alpha males sacrificing everything for the sake of providing for, and securing the rights of, us ignorant, defenseless women. It's a myth, not dissimilar to the lies about us liking strong men because we're weak.

So a woman can be brainwashed into being subservient but a man cannot be brainwashed into being dominant? Seems a little bias

You need to be One, before you can be Two.

I've provided numerous links so I am not ignoring anything. I'm also not the one slinging insults or trying to dig at people personally, only calling out those who refuse to look at the thread topic.

Making excuses for one gender but not the other is obvious bias and not conducive to feminism.

Excuses? For how women have been raised?

Those are not excuses.
