Certainly, this is a more accurate summation...

TC-If you re-read my post, you'll see that I mentioned that the purging of non-believers is in the older versions of the Bible, and that the New Testament is the softer, fuzzier version of Christianity....

The older books were much more wrath of God, fire and brimstone, death to the non-believers....

My point being, that at some point, many religions support conversion of the world, or death/damnation to those who don't join.

What's done is done.
It doesn't matter about relationships between Islam and Christianity in the past.

Christianity seems to have moved on. Grown up.
Islam doesn't seem to have moved with the rate of growth of man.

It's holding him back.

This doesn't mean to say that Islam is a bad religion. It just needs to be rethought before being reapplied.

I mean, I know that not all Muslim people are violent, but damn, I know 2 Muslim people and they're both very nice. But it's kind of hard when all I've heard in the news for the past year is stuff about Muslim violence against non-Muslim believers and so much killing and death over religious beliefs. I know that religion keeps peace between people, but it also brings so much death. When is all this killing between Muslims and non-Muslims going to end?

I agree with that basic idea: It was not & never has been a "4th Crusade" because it wasn't started because of religion...However, national rulers & governments seem to be hung up on the idea that their servants & citizens have to know that "God is on their side" when they decide to commit the mass murder of another people.

Hindu in extreme cases have very little respect for their women. Buddist have been in some wars, but almost all defense.

It was them who killed you for saying we weren't flat or weren't the center. It was them who put Galileo under house arrest since he said he was wrong. If he hadn't, off with his head. And I say christianity no longer exists since I don't see them anymore. I see Methodist, Luthern, Catholic, Presbitarian, Protestant, Espicospal, and about a few thousand other religons that broke off from christianity, but no christians. Never seen the Christian Church. Seen The Church of Luthern, Seen Espicospal Church of Toledo, but no Christian Church. Ask what they are? I'm a Methodist, not Christian.

Iraq fought for years with Iran killing over a million people.

Saddam killed over 300,000 of his own people, MURDERED them to stay in power.

We should have hung him by his thumbs.
