There's toilet seats in the streets?

I thought it was obvious the street was gender neutral?

Money probably better spent to provide more public bathrooms and half way houses to transition out of homelessness ...Nothing to be gained for anyone by making poverty and the gross stuff that come along with that a criminal offense.

WHAT?!?!
Not put someone in prison for urinating in a city with far too few public restrooms?
What about the cops?
What about the jailers and all the millions of folks depending on a good income by locking away as many people for as many idiot reasons as possible!
And, despite the hysterics, it does remain illegal!
Overheard in Riker's Island Torture Center;
"What are you in for?"
"Littering!"
And they all moved away from me!

Required prior to employment of all judges, lawmakers/politicians and cops; 6 months in prison, general population!
Every damned one of them!

The Trumps of the country has made poverty a criminal offense for a very long time!
A couple fines and you never get out!

That sounds like it has the potential to be somewhat problematic, but honestly, who cares? It's better than people being put on the Sex Offender registry for it.

Lets look at the Federal Bureau Of Prison statistics for this month, shall we?

I definitely think its safe to say that resources are wasted on non-violent crime. Even in the federal system.

Traffic tickets are not criminal offenses in my state, and your extreme examples are beyond ridiculous.

...
Traffic Offenses as
Crimes (Most States)

In most states traffic violations are still considered criminal offenses. Typically, there are three levels of these offenses: 1) infractions, or "petty" or "summary" offenses, 2) misdemeanors, and 3) felonies. The rights you have to fight a ticket, and the way they are handled in court, depend on which level of offense your state assigns to traffic violations. The consequences will also vary.

You said traffic tickets, did you not? A criminal violation leads to arrest, not a ticket.

Your quote mentions infractions, as opposed to crimes, does it not?

Traffic offenses are usually considered minor offenses in most states. Simple traffic violations usually lead to a traffic ticket and are considered infractions. However, if traffic offense is more serious than the offense can lead to misdemeanor or even felony charges. These are considered criminal offenses and usually involve a trial and other prolonged legal consequences.

Silly wrabbit, no one picks up their dog's poop in NYC.

Lived in mid-town Manhattan for years. We had two dogs.
Believe me, if you even considered walking away without not picking up your doggie doodie...you heard about it from anyone walking by.
