I find it incredibly ironic how the NRA portrays itself as an organization that is fighting for the preservation of the Second Amendment yet nobody seems to remember that it was barely 45 years ago when the NRA was promoting increased gun control and restrictions on ownership because they were scared out of their wits about the Black Panthers utilizing the Second to legally arm themselves. Hypocrisy knows no bounds in the NRA.

Take a look around Seagull! Personal responsibility and those who advocate are often referred to by those of SJW ilk as "White Supremacists" for even suggesting that each individual is responsible for the choices they make in life.
Milo did an event at DePaul University and a black woman stood up against BLM and mentioned she was responsible and worked hard and she was called a "White Supremacist" for saying it!! WTF!!!!

Some folk might be concerned about radical ISLAM but I myself am keeping a close eye on these type of folk who seem to want nothing more than a violent revolution!

I grew up ages ago.

I wish they would.

That is what freedom, and independence was suppose to be all about.

Making ones own choices instead of having them made for us.

You cannot be this dense. Gun sales are up because Obama and his gun control minions have created an atmosphere that leads people to believe that firearms of their choosing would no longer be available.

I am not an NRA member and don't presently own a firearm. I have given thought to purchasing a few ARs and handguns out of fear I may not have that option in the future.

In other words, get 'em while you can.

This I know.

I've been called a bigot many times for advocating personal responsibility in our lives. I'm not quite sure what about that makes me a bigot, but so be it.

That level of brainwashing may be incurable.

I am a gun owner. Just how many is a not so secret secret. Not one of them has ever claimed a human life, God forbid they ever should.

I'm an independant thinker. On many an issue I disagree with folks like neo, and seeker1963. But on this one? I'm in lockstep with 'em 'til what ever end comes.

Isn't that what we're supposed to be? Independent thinkers? Patrick Henry thought so. So, too, did Benjamin Franklin, and a host of others. We fought a civil war over that...the rights of the states and the citizens in them to chart their own course, for better or for worse...it's their/our lives, not the govt, and certainly not Ms. Couric's.

I'm not quite the hill billy/redneck some would accuse me of being, though it's not the insult many would have me believe...but I'll side with them on many, if not most, issues pertaining to my life, and proudly so. By this time next year, or shortly thereafter, I'll be living in the back hills of Tennessee on my own little plot of land, redneck hillbilly by nature, if not by birth. Couric and her ilk can have their little utopian theatre, just leave me out of it.

But they won't. As long as any of us have a notion contrary to what they believe should be...? We, and you, are the enemy.

So, I'll continue speaking my mind. Clutching my rifles, my pickup (it's a Scion, actually), and the latest issue of Guns and Ammo. Wanting nothing but to be left alone to live my life peacefully, but willing to use any legal means to protect myself.

There are no ethics left anymore when it comes the media, they have free reign to twist and contort anything they do to get the results they are looking for. Why are so many people on both sides of the aisle so adamant about asking Daddy government for permission? Here is a short list of rights and behaviors that we currently have to get permissions for. Ask yourself, "why do we need permission from the government to do this?" Why do we allow the government to encroach on our daily life, and we do we pay them MORE of our hard earned money to do things that they have no business being involved in?

1. Marriage - why is it their business?
2. Divorce
3. Driving
4. Crossing state lines (agricultural checks)
5. Operating a Church
6. Camping
The list goes on and on. Why do we allow ourselves to be controlled to such high levels? We keep agreeing to this nonsense. The government does not keep us safe. They do not make our lives easier or better, and yet we continue to let them encroach on every single facet of our daily lives.

Gun ownership is no different. We should not have to ask permission to own and operate a firearm. It is absolutely no one's business what we own and what we choose to enjoy in life.

If you are not infringing on someone else's personal rights, then you need to be able to be left alone, PERIOD.

I am sick of everyone looking to government for everything, to fix every problem, to be involved in everything we do. This ESPECIALLY applies to our current political climate. Everyone on both sides agrees that the government is corrupt and out of control, yet we keep wanting to give it more power, more control, and more of our money.

HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

INTO criminals.

And they have succeeded.

Gulity until proven innocent so goes the background check.

People have to PROVE their worth to the state BEFORE they can practice their RIGHT.
