My son is so rad, he truly is great
But he should've been born in 1978
The year would now be 1989
A perfect fit for his hair design
The mullet he sports and wears proudly
Is spiked short in the front and in the back hanging wildly
The Terminator is one of his favorite movies
He says "I'll be back" like a robot groupie
Collects garbage pail kids cards, has a ton
There's even one named NatNerd, oh the fun!
Comics, Star Wars, and Legos galore
Has so many Legos, he could open a store!
Back to the future is another movie he favors
Marty McFly is surely no stranger
Pac-man, donkey Kong, and Mario bros is their name
Along with Rubik's cube and the guess who game
My boy absolutely adores all the things
Happiness and peace to him it brings
My son is so rad, he truly is great
But he should've been born in 1978

Thanks for reading
Have a lovely day!
-Nat

Hi Nat! 😛

Your boy is one cool dude. How blessed you must feel! How is he doing, lately?

Me too, but I never got the chance to sport a mullet. My hair started falling out when I turned 14. On the upside, I could buy beer at most places by 16.

My boy isn't so rad...just a little mad
He has no interest in Lego, comics or cards
He loves to make videos and wants loads of subs
And prefers Grand Theft Auto to Mario Bros

S+F...lovely kid.

I always felt I should have been young in the 50's and 60's. But the 80's ruled for being a kid.

a reply to: IridiumFlareMadness Yep, the 80s were special. Being able to see the original Star Wars in 1977 and then going to the stores that sold the action figures, are you kidding me ! Close Encounters, new wave and hair in the 80s was ,what can I say it was 80s. IMO the 90s were lame, regressed to grunge rock, pre everyone has computers. I don't know how I feel about the present, its not so special.

HEY THANKS YOU GUYS FOR READING AND REPLYING!!!!

I had so much fun writing this poem. My son is really a fun little dude. I can't to see how his style changes as he gets older. It might stay the same though. I was born in 1984, so I got to enjoy some of the 80's. But wish I could've enjoyed more of it
. I make my own style now with my lil radical fanny pack I where now for convenience
heehee.
Hope y'all have a great day!
Much peace to you all!
