So, is the transgender bathroom issue the new doom porn... am I supposed to worry now whenever I go into a restroom that there will be a man (that doesn't really identify as a woman) claiming he does identify as a woman for the sole purpose that he can attack a female in a bathroom?

Is this issue a distraction for us to ignore other possible issues going on?

Was there an issue concerning the topic prior?
I've never had a problem or have read of a problem concerning the transgender bathroom issue/law before this law came up in the news.

Give me Nibiru any day! Maybe aliens have arrived and the only way to see them is with sun glasses... while we focus on who is or should be using what bathroom.
It doesn't take a bathroom for sick people to do horrible things.
my issue was the topic but because it was a man in womens bathroom sems to have become the problem, this was supposed to have happen to a young girl, im sure you could handle yourself being an adult.?.........................................

it's not like this kind of thing didn't happen in the past, before the word transgender was so popular, or wait a minute, I bet if we searched enough, we'd find where it has!! pretty sure, in the back of my mind I remember something like this happening before...

but just ain't gonna bother searching, it's not worth it to me.

Again, you clearly don't comprehend how laws are formed. Whatever, it's not the issue. The issue is that you lied in your OP.

I have a feeling the reason you haven't answered my question is because you can't. Whatever you have to tell yourself.

justification for what?? for following some poor kid into the bathroom and choking her?? ain't justifying crap here!! but I am saying that people who do this kind of crap didn't need any special laws written up for the convenience of the transgenders to do such things, and gee, at least this girl is still alive, I seem to remember and instance where the victim wasn't that lucky! and, if I were to venture a guess, I'd say that was way back in the 70's.

what is being implied in the op is kind of like saying that gee, if we could only get the guns out of the stores, no one would be shooting anyone, where the danged criminals never really care what the law says anyways. if they think they can get away with something, they are going to, cross dressed or not.

Really? What in the world do you call a directive made by Obama to deny funding to schools that do not allow transgenders to use the restroom of their choice?...

The Obama administration is planning to issue a sweeping directive telling every public school district in the country to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms that match their gender identity.

What do you call when the government is suing states for not following this kind of mandate, or for not wanting to accept that transgenders, and anyone who claims he is a woman, should be allowed into women's restrooms?...

North Carolina, Justice Dept. file dueling lawsuits over transgender rights

Here is what you don't seem to understand, alongside other people.

It's none of my business what you think you are, or how you identify yourself, but it is none of your business to push your agenda on everyone else.

There are gays, and even transgenders who are against this issue.

Drop The T From LGBT

By Walt Heyer
April 21, 2016

Transgender people have high rates of psychological problems that contribute to their identity expression and victimization. The rest of the LGBT crowd should consider how that reflects on them.
...
The current bathroom policy debate illuminates the growing gap between the concerns of the transgender community and of the LGB community. Perhaps those who favor gay marriage do not want any part of enabling pedophiles in wigs having easier access to kids in bathrooms.

Trans activists paint the entire LGBT group in an unsympathetic light when they lobby for laws to criminalize such trivialities as misusing pronouns, as passed recently in New York City. Practical LGB members might want to take this opportunity to disentangle themselves from the lunacy of today’s trans-rights movement. This will disassociate their movement in the public eye from people whom research shows have high incidents of psychological disorders linked with their transgender expression, and offers an opportunity to protect transgender people from being exploited by high-priced medical quacks.

The differences between the groups now seem glaring. Let’s list a few.
Difference 1: Same-Sex Attraction vs. Gender Perception

Many transgenders are not homosexual, lesbian, or bisexual. Unlike people who identify as LGB, transgenders suffer from self-deception disorders (gender dysphoria). They are convinced that they are in the wrong body, and with the help of enablers and affirmers of their delusion, undergo drastic body-mutilating surgeries to enhance the deception and deny the plain and simple truth of their gender. While some LGB people may be transgender, too, the majority are not.
Difference 2: Bathroom Access

The transgender public restroom issue, a hot topic in the news today, is exclusively a transgender cause not shared by those who are lesbian, gay, or bisexual. Transgender bills being debated at the state and local levels exclusively address gender identity and have nothing to do with sexual preference. This includes bills to legally change ones gender marker on ones birth certificate without surgically altering the appearance of ones genitals. It also includes bills to allow any man to use womens public restrooms and locker rooms if he says he feels like a woman—no surgery or birth-record change required.
...

thefederalist.com...

The man who wrote that is a transgender man...

Are they also "bigots" or whatever else you want to call them or me? Or do they have a point that meanwhile it is none of my business to define who you think you are, it is none of your business to force your opinion and views on everyone else, and neither is it the business of the government to mandate such opinion on everyone else. More so when this sort of mandate will put at risk more children and women.

So what is stopping pedophiles from invading women's restrooms and molesting the children therein, sans transgender bathroom laws?

lol guns as a self defense tool, yeah sorry that was a joke and in bad taste. so gaurds in crapper but lets get real that is unrealistic, so how about proper supervision by the adult responsible for the child. for an adult carry and know how to use legal self defense weapons dont live in fear but dont let your guard down?

Completely different topic... The majority of gun owners are not suffering from an identity disorder, and are not confused and traumatized.

Before people, and guards would stop men, or men dressed as women, from entering women's bathrooms. Now, there are laws stating those men and transgenders can do so. It is logical such mandate will increase the incidence of violence and sexual attacks, etc to women and children...

Checked the forums and didn't see this story. This is the beginning of attacks that will occur by men claiming to be a woman but with only one thought, peek on women and children in the bathroom, or do worse such as this case.

Can't people understand what it means when a law is passed allowing any man to enter women's restrooms will do?

I read the article, where did it ever say the man was pretending to be a woman? Is it not plausible that a man was sitting in a stall, waited for a victim, and then attacked?

I call that falling within the powers of the executive branch. The President has the right to clarify existing law (such as who uses which restroom) through EO's, and has the right to withhold federal funding from the states as leverage to have those directives followed.

This is not the same thing as passing a new law which requires the input of Congress.

Which is why up to a certain age,i Never let my children go into a public toilet facility alone.Living in South Africa it is even more dangerous.I even take my 10yo son into the womens' toilets - It is not an unusual thing in my country, because mothers here, especially whites, are more aware of the dangers. We live in the rape capital of the world, and one of the Aids capitals, and propably the murder capital too.

For my dilligence in not taking chances with my kids's safety,i got told by 2 members that either my son is a retard and/or i am a weirdo or a retard.

Like i give a S#&T.My kids,my responsibility.
