But check out the statistics. Handguns are responsible for far more deaths and injuries in the US.

There was an operation in place during GW's administration but it did not include the straw purchase. That was all Obama's administration. I wondered why Holder and company tried to blame Bush when all this happened.

So far I have learned that ATF staffers answered Congressional queries as to whether they ever urged the FFL dealers involved to break the law.
They answered 'no'.
The dealers are mentioned in emails by the ATF were very hesitant to make the deals and repeatedly asked ATF agents if they were sure what they were doing was right.
People need to realize that FFL holders exist at the ATF's discretion. Agents can and do break down doors of dealers, take all of their inventory and keep it. No laws broken by the dealer, and this is what happens.
When the ATF comes knocking and says 'Here is what you are going to do' you do it.

Yes, that was nearly 5 years ago.
The ATF/DOJ/ Obama Administration was specifically interested in long guns.

That would be because people do not trust him nor his administration. How many lies and scandals do we need to show this administration cannot be trusted. When an operation run by this administration is designed to covertly undermine the Constitution in order to restrict weapons there is a problem. When this administration subverts FOIA laws, refuses to comply with court orders and obstruct investigations there is a problem. When US Border patrol agents and 20 other people are murdered by this failed program instead of dealing with it they play politics and try to obstruct.

You are right though. Obamas actions have been a boon for gun sales. That gives me some comfort knowing there are people who see his policies for what they are and have more interest in protecting the Constitution than Obama does.

Running an illegal gun operation to swing publuc opinion against the Second Amendment is an attempt subvert the US Constitution, imo.

Isn't attempting to subvert or subverting the Constitution a treasonable offence?
