And human misery has come and gone because of it.

The prime factor in human EVOLUTION.

The driving force behind all of mans technological PROGRESS.

If it's NOT political, then we should all listen to the world politicians.

Especially Obama, ace propaganda and financial schemer.

Statement by the President on the Paris Climate Agreement

and get ready to pay.

Haha. You guys keep talking about Scientists as if they're all morons. Like Al Gore paid a couple of dudes he found in lab coats to promote something so that he could get rich of some kind of Carbon Tax.

When the reality is that that almost every single science department, scientific organization and scientific association believes that our Earth is going through a heating cycle that is outside of any natural cycle and this intense little heating cycle is being caused by man. There have been somewhere between 4,000 and 5,000 actual scientific studies done to research this by actual scientists.

I have yet to hear how you guys think that the 200 scientific organizations listed on NASA's website have somehow been able to keep the biggest conspiracy in the history of the world quiet without a single leak. lol

So, SO2 trading did nothing to reduce emissions?

Yet clean coal (and it really is a product--with real technology) is DESTROYED (whilst the green industry of LS and Solyndra become epic fails).
Has the Kemper project been scrapped?

What is wrong with allowing BOTH sides of the argument to be presented to students EQUALLY within the textbooks...So that they may come to their own conclusions?

Do you think creation "science" should also be taught in science class?

Good.

I wouldn't allow science denialism and ignorance to be taught as science. There aren't two sides to scientific issues. It's either what the evidence suggests it is or it isn't. Science has right and wrong answers. This isn't politics.

The schools, generally, have a duty to present the most up to date scientific knowledge.

nah. We should listen to scientists though. Once we know the scientific data, then we can make informed decisions. Without scientific data, meaning if we ignore science we can't make informed decisions.

If the shoe fits one must admit.

Climate change is where the MONEY is that created a trillion dollar lobbying where significant tax payer money gets spend without anything to show for it.

Really think they are going to give themselves a pay cut ?

Think politicians are going to give up a nice decisive issue for votes ?

Neither is going to.

Scientists are human after all. Prone to mistakes, and outright corruption.

The planet however does it thing which it's been doing forever without anger, resentment, a paycheck and not for a VOTE.

That is what climate change is.

CREATIONISM and slap the word science on it.

Because what's the solutions they offer ?

No really WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

Other than more taxes, and schemes.

This is the biggest reason denialism exists. As soon as the real scientific community had any data the politicians polluted the discussion with their greed and, in the case of Al Gore, doom and gloom alarmism.

It's a scientific problem with scientific solutions or mitigations we could apply if we'd just get the politics out of the way.

Well for starters, Kemper is fired by liquificatio of liginite (not coal). It was as much a political decision to promote liginite (or for that matter turbines) as it was to "KILL KING COAL."

Hillary didn't mispeak. She was giddy at the thought of ending the American Coal Industry. Why? It's been cleaned up, and is NECESSARY for many millions of power customers in the mid-Atlantic. But it was an easy "understandable" strawman for pols to go after for the political grandeur of "being green."

And we haven't even discussed the environmental DANGERS of Wind.

That school students are being denied the discussion of contradicting knowledge, but only being sold "fossil fuels are bad" is stunning.

Question policy. Question agendas. Question ignorance...all by presenting the OTHER view as well.

Hey if people can believe all the science regarding evolution is a conspiracy then climate change is peanuts.

That means we should deny that it's happening?

Or, especially, willfully deny that humans *might* be contributing?

That's both stubborn and disingenuous.

Get off our dependence of fossil fuels and go to alternative solutions...
But you knew that has been proposed time and time again, you just like to create the strawman that taxing has been the only solution offered.

I will tell ya whats 'disingenuous' is that for over 50 years green legislation has existed.

Since the GD Nixon administration the EPA has existed.

For over 100 years the STATE has had the power to REGULATE business. ( That's who we are really talking about by the way) when people say 'humans'.) They always out trying to kill people.!

So for over a HALF CENTURY with the state already in control of the air, and water, and land.

Someone needs to tell just what effing problem is there.

What more do the NEOCON fascists trying to control the entire planet WANT ?

And why is fossil fuels king prey tell ?

Because there is NOTHING out there that delivers the same bang for the buck CHEAPLY.

Want to put people out of work. Make goods more expensive. Make it more expensive to heat, and cool homes, and business.

By all means KEEP pushing that alternative bullsnip made in China by fossil fuels.

Hell they might be made in India made by fossil fuels.

Only people won't have any job, or money, and if they did they are spending their earnings on food, and heat.

Religion in a Public school?...No.
Are you implying either of the sides of the climate change argument is religion based..because your analogy doesn't hold up.

The point was that is another issue that 'has two sides'. Just because there is another side that thinks they have an argument doesn't mean it has to be entertained.

Creationist say they don't want it to be taught as religious, but think they have scientific backing for it. So should we teach their science in school and let the kids make a decision?

something about climate "literacy". Oh boy

Oh no, we shouldn't expect kids to actually learn anything in school now should we?

And one city deciding not to buy some textbooks is hardly book-banning.

Many true "believers" (the antithesis of the non PC "denier") fully believe in the Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming. Their first Pope (elected sans white smoke), Al Gore.

Without questioning the politics of Global Warming (via classroom discussion) the rampant profiteering of politicians disappears into the trash heap of history. And the politics cannot be separated from "science."
