Thank you for stoping in. So what do you shave with?

Right now I have a Gillette flexible-head razor that has disposable cartridges. The cartridges have two sets of triple blades, and the flexible head pivots to smoothly go over knees and ankles without filleting me like a fish, lol. (Might transfer to men as not scalping your chin? I dunno, never shaved my face!) Anyway, the cartridges seem to last a fair amount of time too.

Sorry to intrude on your thread guys, but the title was too enticing!

"Personal Touch" a ladies razor. But,I am having problems finding
replacement blades for it.
I use warm water and dove soap.

That is why I wrote my post only referring to "skin" and not face. I figured some ladies could take advantage of that too. I hope it helped you (and any other ladies reading this from the shadows).

Yes definitely, thanks! I found this intriguing:

This close and smooth shave will not only save your skin, but also last 3-4 days without need to shave again (saving your skin even more trauma).

I must admit, the thought of a straight razor creeps me out a bit. But a safety razor... hmmm. Might have to look into that when I run out of cartridges to the one I'm using.

Wait, Gillette blades aren't supposed to last months? I kidd, I kidd.

I first started to use an electric razor, and found that it pulled the hair too much for my liking. I switched over to a typical safety razor and never went back.

I do the rubbing alcohol dip for the razor to help disinfect (hey, bathrooms can get nasty).

One of the things that helped me was to not shave in the same direction that the hairs were going - I found that this seems to reduce the number of pulled hairs/overall discomfort.

Still a bit of a novice on this, so I'll be reading.

For disinfecting the razor (before and after use), this stuff cannot be beaten.

Andis Cool Care Plus is a five-in-one formula that is a coolant, disinfectant, lubricant, cleaner, and rust preventative. The disinfectant is a virucide, fungicide, bactericide and tuberculocide. Since it needs to air dry, spray it on the razor after use, and it will be ready the next time you need to use it without the need to spray again. It is used in barbershops and hair salons for their clippers.
