As always, more images in different angles of view would be helpful. Maybe from straight above, etc.....

Can't tell much of anything at all from the image in the OP.

Whatever it was has been drifting around for a while as it appears to have been washed up extremely well up towards the high water mark.

To be honest it's difficult to tell which end is the front. Is it possibly a highly decayed Nessie ?

My vote goes to it being Venus, swamp gas, bear or basking shark. I've covered all of the usual envelopes used more and more. That all aside, it looks like somebody had a campfire.
