Yes, when you edit there is a message above the edit box telling you how many minutes remain available.
So many people seem not to have noticed that.
It counts down from 120 minutes, which is how I know that two hours is the correct figure.

Wait!... you can delete moderators in the first two hours of a post??!!

I have occasionally posted something I regretted. If I feel strongly enough, that I was mean or rude to a member, then I PM an apology to that member.
I don't expect a reply or that my apology should be accepted but it makes me feel better about acting like a jerk.
