Helpfulness seems to abound in The Shed. Perhaps it is why so many like being here?
I agree that Q is an amazing Guy! Such a blessing for US all to have Him here as an inhabitant of Shed!!!

Do you fish on the Mississippi River ?

We have done some shore fishing on the Mighty Mississippi River, many years ago. Truthfully We haven't fished for several years now. I miss it. We have been thinking of getting new poles and gear, and taking up the hobby again. We have always been 'Catch-and-Release' type of fishers...

There have been some enormous Catfish pulled from the rivers here over the years. Just under any of the lock and dam systems here, they like to just sit, and feed, and feed, and feed, until they reach Gigantuous sizes!! I'll try to find some pix of some of the bigger ones from here...

This is a couple guys from LeClaire Iowa. Just across the river and a little north of us here...


I saw one a guy near us here caught that took kuphalf of His pick up truck bed! It was HUGE!!!!!
Oh, Yes the current is very strong in most parts of the Mississippi River. Dangerously so.
When My step sone was about 15, Him and three of His froends were just off shore in a small tributary of the River, and two of the boys were pulled under the water, and sadly drowned. It was a terrible experience for our Boy, but one that taught Him firsthand to respect the rivers here!!!

LOL! Yah I guess they are eating them! I know the Catfish here have been said to have a muddy taste to them from the river sediments...

Both these bridges go over the Mississippi River here in the Quad Cities!

This is the Twin Bridges, as they are called here. It was in the Movie '8 Mile' about Rapper Eminem. Looking from Moline Illinois to Davenport Iowa.
