Been there. Done that. More times than I care to count or remember. I would only do it as a last resort, as it was before, and the time before that,
and the time before that.
we had to live in a tent with my dad after he lost the farm to the bankers in the late 70s. We camped on the bank of the creek running through that
same property.....pffft I survived....
Thinking of living in a tent me and a few friends did live in one camping for a week, we had everything from campfire to tv/Xbox etc, was fun back in
2002.
Unless i wanted to try going off grid then yes I'd live in a tent far out in the Scottish highlands.
I have been known to go on walk about. The most important part of camping long term though is making sure you have the right essentials..without
em...you might as well stay at the quality inn.
When I'm deep in the woods make I make sure I have the right gear.....
I've spent some months living in a tent in the woods.
It was a period of my life when I needed some quiet time.
I wouldn't want to live that way forever, but I feel it was a healthy decision at the time.
If that's the only option for housing, sure. It would beat living under a bridge someplace. Set up in a state park, move every couple of weeks, as
required.
Wouldn't want to do that long-term, though! Tents leak, and are not the safest housing. In some places, the climate would make it uncomfortable, as
well, parts of the year.
