It keeps getting stupider and stupider... How the hell is everyone going to know what is the "preferred noun" a transgender person wants to use?... What, if you use a different noun and the transgender person wants to claim it was intentional, you are going to face jail time/punishment?...

And what exactly is "ze"?...

You might ... and I'm spitballing here ... just ask the person in question how they'd like to be referred to.

That seems to be fairly straightforward.

I wonder how much of that is due to mass confusion levied at them from the progressives.

Or were the rates of transgendered suicide that high throughout the thousands of years humans have been on this plant and are the numbers that high globally right now in countries which aren't at the forefront of this asinine progressiveness?

Like it or not, the progressive culture is causing more division, more confusion, more hatred and in this case, high suicide rates.

Yes, I said it. The progressives have blood on their hands.

Which progressives?

You're gesturing wildly at a meaningless, imaginary group of people.

If you're going to accuse anyone of complicity in suicide (aside from those who want to scrutinize and criticize and ostracize everyone and everything that is different from their idealized idea of how people are supposed to be) ... I'd think you'd want to be a bit more specific, that is, if you wanted to be taken seriously instead of just pumping out more demagoguery ...

So, who are you talking about? An actual, group of people (like an organization, civic group, corporation, etc.)?

The only way to know for sure is to wear State certified I.D. badges.

That could be the next "guideline" from Obama.

Heck, it's almost certain they would have to come up with a banner that identifies the noun they want to be called. There is no way anyone will learn all these different nouns that already exist and whatever new ones they invent.

"ze" has many meanings in many languages.

ze

I actually did look it up, because honestly I had no idea what it meant.

It reminds me during boot camp one of the Recruit Division Commanders decided to name me "alphabet' because back then, and as a hispanic, I still had two long last names.

Perhaps we are going to end up calling them "alphabet person". Since we will never know what noun they want to be called as.

Not trying to demean anyone, but seriously, this is getting stupider and stupider.

You should read the entire page for the definitions.

"Ze" is an extremely derogatory term in some circles.

Sure ... I mean, why actually talk to the people, the human beings and fellow American citizens we're talking about here, eh?

Let's just continue to wildly postulate and blatantly ridicule people for who they are; that's really unifying, isn't it?

There must be a lot of brown-eyed folks around here.

In regard to alternate pronouns for trans* folk?

That is the subject, here, right?

I mean, for example, who knows what "Xuenchen" means in other languages and some cultural groups, eh?

Context is important ... right? Isn't that right out of the conservative playbook?

We're not in those circles.

There are lots of words that have different meanings in different places. Like shag.

Gender neutral pronouns have been around for a long time.

No, but gender neutral pronouns is something I've researched before.

I'm very aware there are multiple possibilities.

Sorry, most people are still not going to learn all these different pronouns.

Is this what is going to be taught in schools form now on?... I mean, education is already so perfect that teachers are going to be able to give new lessons about all the different pronouns, and future possible pronouns people might want to be called?
