If you are born with a xx chromosome than you are a female. If you are born with a xy chromosome than you are a male. No more arguments. That's it. Stay in your own restroom.

Egads people, you're all overlooking the worst offenders of all: single parents!

What about all those perverted parents that are toting kids along on a shopping excursion and have the audacity to bring their toddler of an opposite gender into the bathroom with them rather than send them into the corresponding bathroom alone?!?

Why, just the other day some pervert of a father brought his little girl into the men's' room where I was making use of the facilities, proceeded directly to a stall, got her situated, shut the stall door, stood outside the door till she was done, washed her hands, and left immediately. Just think of all the penis she didn't see! Just think of the ass kicking somebody would've gotten had they decided to run over and wave their penis in her and her father's face! Think of how that penis waggling individual would have been escorted from the store in handcuffs by the po-po!

You're all ignoring the silent perverts among us.

I don't think that all trans people worry about bathrooms, as they have long been using whichever one applies to their esthetic. And no one was the wiser.

The legislators however, DO know how to divide the people, and direct their attention away from ACTUAL issues, and the people fall for it once again...

No!!

As soon as we get used to seeing men enter women's bathrooms, we will obviously see a dramatic rise in issues.

Every single society on earth separated the sexes thousands of years ago for obvious reasons.

How crazy are you?

Judging by your posts I would say "clinically ".

Uh trans people have already been using bathrooms for a long time.

What I find crazy is the veiled hatred you have. There would be no rise in incidents. You think men who are savage enough to rape women are fgoj g to be stopped by a law?

Rapists are going to start cross dressing?

What will any of these bathroom laws do to stop predators? Nothing.

What it will do is put people who look and act like their gender identity in the wrong sex bathroom. Now young girls will pee near dudes who look like dudes but may not have a penis.

And boys will pee with girls who look like girls and may or may not have a penis. Transgender people are not tranvestites they are not cross dressers.

And yeah they have always existed even when you were a kid. You can read about them a lot in the obituaries from suicides and assaults in the past.

I have no problem with allowing people to use any restroom. I have two daughters, a son, and wife.

And most of the country actually doesn't give a crap either.

Yeah I stay home during the day and take care of my twin girls. I can't wait for the protesters to call the cops on my toddlers for using the restroom with me.

It seems to me the bigots have lost the crowd they bash in public without repercussions and they are holding on to the last groups they can bash in public. Unfortunately for them most of the civilized world is evolving socially to accept all kinds of people.

Hell I even think you can say and feel eaht you want as bigot. Just don't expect laws to support your views and leave other people's liberty alone.

regular folks can just get on with life without these mentally ill idiots.

I'm not quite sure how you get away with saying these sorts of things, T&C's don't apply to all it would seem. I find you to be extremely offensive and intentionally abrasive. I'm actually offended because I am neither mentally ill or an idiot. Come on mods do your jobs and not let people get away with broadly just insulting people.

Plain and simple, it's fear. Silly, irrational fear. Fear of a boogeyman or boogeywoman who might try to turn you gay or touch you. But don't fear, if someone tries anything I'm sure there will be enough 'good guys/good women with guns' to save you.

I'm sure there has been a few instances of child molesters or rapists cross-dressing and attacking people in restrooms. But, I never hear about them on the news. And, if some sex offender/child molester REALLY wanted to attack someone, do you think this law is going to cause them to stop, reflect, and take off their dress and makeup and rethink what they are contemplating? If they've put that much energy into it, they ain't gonna stop because of a law.

Men's room: I have never, ever heard of any woman dressing like a man and entering a men's room in an effort to molest men or boys. Not saying it never happened, but I've never heard of it. My guess is this is not an epidemic.

But, I've read about lots of male and female teachers molesting students in the classroom and outside the school. Shall we outlaw teachers?
I read alot about Catholic priests molesting children. Alot. Let's outlaw church too.
How about Football, Penn State fans? I read alot about coaches who molest. Shall we outlaw sports?
How about politicians and former speaker of the houses? I read about them raping kids. Should we outlaw them (correct answer: A. Yes.)

And over in the ladies room: Any male molester who is going to take the time to shop for women's clothing, a wig, and makeup; then take the time to don those things and drive to a public place to a restroom for the purpose of committing rape against a woman or girl is going to find a way or place to commit their crimes, even if we outlaw restrooms in general. There is something misfiring in their brains and they will break the laws no matter what. Aren't there laws against their criminal activity already? Why aren't they stopping?

I have kids, and I'm more afraid of the of the ex-priest down the block who's driveway my then 13-year old son shoveled one year. The guy WAY overpaid him, and then invited him in for a glass of wine. My son took his $130 (for a $25 shovel job), and told him to "F-off weirdo" and left.

It seems there are a lot of people that are afraid of a lot of things these days. They are afraid and suspicious of anyone who is not like them. My Muslim co-worker; I'm afraid. The African-American man on line in front of me; I'm afraid. That white guy who lives next door to me and tosses around racial slurs under his breath; I'm afraid. They are so different than me, and I't terrifies me. But none of them ever tried to hurt me...To each, his own. Live and let live. Judge people by their character. Or be afraid. Very afraid.

I recently had a transgender employee whom I had no idea was transgender until he outed herself. I just thought I had great 21-year old guy who worked hard. I met his wife. Nice lady. I had no idea that he was born a woman until he told me. Bumped into him in the men's room lots of times. Before AND after he told me he was TG. Before and after I knew, I did the same thing I do when I see another guy in the restroom. I say 'how ya doing', don't make small talk or eye contact, and go about my business.

If you have small children of the opposite sex than you, and you are afraid of them being kidnapped or molested, what do you do when they have to go to the bathroom? You take them in the bathroom of your gender.

If you need a boogeyman in your life, you should probably be more wary of the Catholic Priest, the coach you don't know, the weird camp counselor, your odd uncle who pays too much attention to the kid's table on Thanksgiving, or your congressman, then you should of the person in the restroom. Odds are the guy in the dress in the ladies room ain't there to hurt you, but the guy in the suit and tie in a position of power could hurt you.

Here's some food for thought: People are more afraid of the bathroom monsters then they are of the real menace: Trigger happy toddlers who have been blowing away their parents and siblings with extreme prejudice. We need more laws against these toddlers. I'm afraid of these sketchy, heat-packin' toddlers.

PS: I used guns as a comparison only because way more people are hurt and killed by guns than by transgender people in bathrooms, but no one seems to want any more laws restricting guns. My intent was not to turn this into an NRA debate, so please re-holster your weapons and stay on point.

That is not accurate. There is a long history of unisex facilities in the ancient world.

Personally, I find your response bloody funny.

On the other hand and very seriously, you have every right to feel that way, every right in the world. I would defend that right.

Perhaps, Men, Women, Everyone Else.

Three bathrooms where Europe needs but one.

But it is these differences that should be celebrated, not shunned.

Privacy should be available for those who need or want it.

P

The vast majority of Americans do not want men in womens bathrooms or locker rooms, yet we have this being jammed down our throats because 1/30th of 1% of people are mentally ill.....

Last time I checked, an entire society doesn't upend long standing customs to pander to a minority so small it might as well not even exist.

These people need help not placed on a pedestal.

I hope every fruit loop supporting this has nothing but trans kids, then they won't reproduce and this retardation will die as it should, and the rest of us regular folks can just get on with life without these mentally ill idiots.

The vast majority of Americans, if left to come to their own conclusions, ultimately don't give a flying turd who drops one where in the heat of the bowel movement. Quit acting like such a special snowflake, princess. Everybody s#s, everybody pisses. The only thing offensive in shared bathrooms is foul odors.

That he is. Besides, what's wrong with some facial hair anyway? Everyone's got it, we're not smooth as a baby's ass sans shaves, people.

Harnaam Kaur is not a male, just a full-blown chick with a condition that gave her a beard. Gonna bitch about beards in bathrooms again now?

Yes, and they are associated with violence and predatory behaviors in the men's room too. And in empty stairwells, parking garages and alleys. Ban penises everywhere!

Take note that the people bitching the loudest with the more harebrained excuses are mostly guys. That tells me they're broadcasting their personal lack of impulse control, considering the rape odds excuse keeps coming up ad nauseam. If we get one good thing out of this, at least we know who's a lowly POS who cannot be trusted in the company of others, period. Bathrooms are the least of a country's worries at that eureka moment.

I mean it's kind of good in a way. If these are the only things we have to fight about, then apparently the world isn't so bad after all. I just hope we won't have to stop the presses every time someone feels stigmatized.

So you think that you can just walk in to a girls/women's locker room and its no big deal? How about we make special restrooms for special snowflakes and the rest of just do what's normal? Problem solved!
