No Escape

Thoughts of you are heady in my dreams
I’m a prisoner, no escape, or so it seems

Chiseling away at the rocks in the wall
I plot my escape. Poems to you I, crudely, scrawl

You control my bread and water too
I kneel, I beg, I suffer for you

Enduring madness, chaos skreams
Is it possible to escape you in my dreams?

My immortal is a vengeful God
The, occasional, kindness a clever facade

The cage is broken through!
No longer will I be a slave to you

Freedom just beyond the wall
Free from the terror and stench of alcohol

Race along little mouse race along
Your captor knew it all along

Hearing the footsteps from behind
Now I know this is not the time

Fist full of hair to drag me home
I'm deposited, once again, upon his throne

Time will pass and the prisoner will win freedom
And then be unbound from this demon
