Socialists think economics and statism can be moral.

Economics is like nature, highly competitive, rewards adaptibility and predatory.Statism is inherently amoral.

You cannot make economics moral. You cannot make statism moral.

Greed is an excellent motivator. Socialists think greed in business is bad. No it is not. It is bad on a personal level not in business.

And capitalism leads to corporatism (and elitism)... which is why you need a healthy blend of socialism and capitalism. It helps to cut down on the corruption - imho.

But if Corporatism and Socialism both need big government bureaucracy to function, what is the difference?

That's an excellent point.

It's why I think socialism is opportunistic.

I think I'd like to live in a place where I didn't need to worry about anything.

I think we all would.

As long as i can keep working 3/4 days a week. Make me work 5 days a week and i will start a riot! I was not born to work goddammit i was born to live!

I don't mind you working 3 or 4 days a week. That is 100% fine with me. But the second someone takes my money or takes it from my family after I work 6 days a week, and gives it to you since you don't earn enough...you become my enemy as much as those to stole the money from me and my family.

I can't believe people would PM you telling you to not post anymore! I mean, I believe you, I'm just shocked and disappointed in anyone who would do so - though I'm assuming/hoping it's not coming from any otherwise respectable members.

Though I don't agree with it, I could see someone calling for someone's silence if the person was constantly making unfounded, idiotic statements, but, you write in a reasoned manner. It doesn't matter whether a person agrees with you or not. You have opinions and reasons for them.

Not that you need my encouragement, but eff'em!

If anyone who took part in calling for an end to DBC's posting is reading this, not that i know who you are, but whoever you are, please know that my respect for you had been reduced by at least 90% .

That's not even the half of it.... these bureaucrats are culling taxpayer money to send to the UN for totalitarian purposes and brainwashing
bereanresearch.org...

To deal with those that have not yet met UN schooling goals, UNESCO bureaucrats are seeking more than $22 billion per year in taxpayer funding to provide what the self-styled global education agency refers to as “quality education” for all children. Going forward, as a component of the broader UN “post-2015 agenda,” the UN outfit outlined even more extreme plans to impose its “quality education” scheming on all of humanity

If only people realized how vile and deceitful this all is

"Society is socialism" is common sense? And if that society turns to anarchy, is that socialism? When that society revolts is that socialism? When that society purges a subsection of its members, is that socialism? What about a society with slaves, is that socialism?

Common sense is the last thing that comes to mind when reading such absurdities.

Preach it, brother.

I find the idea of a Government taking care of me a lot like moving in with your parents. There is no way to feel good about yourself when something like that happens. Also, once the Government starts taking care of you then they own you. Your freedom is gone.

We are already there.
In 2011 some 49.2 percent of U.S. households received benefits from one or more government programs—about 151 million out of an estimated 306.8 million Americans—according to U.S. Census Bureau data released last October.Jul 2, 2014

Yes...but it is far, far worse than that. Not only is it living with your parents, it is the control you end up giving that government. Who are you going to vote for...the ones who pay for your Netflix or the ones who want to give you a job? And when you live at your parents home, you have to follow their rules. Not just out of being respectful, but because if you don't they will stop paying your allowance. It is the government taking from the masses to enslave them, make them conform to their wishes. In brief...it is slavery.

And as I usually do...it is the left that wants this control. Not the right.

I only get my definitions from dictionaries. If I trusted people to define things for me, we'd all be in trouble.

I feel great, by the way. Thanks!

You are just attacked for using proper definitions.

It's difficult to redefine meanings with people like you around.

How is anyone, ever to believe socialism = unicorns and rainbows, when you come barging in and throwing your vulgar 'dictionary' around?

Using defined terms upsets many because they are busy trying to rewrite history.
