Don't they have a right to complain? Oh I forgot, no.

I think fathers of little girls should be able to take them into the ladies room.

And I think OTHER little girls and their Moms should have a say, in said Father, being in the restroom.

He would use the men's room.

Isn't this policy disrespectful to the significant Muslim population in the U.S.? Isn't this population more sizable than the population we are accommodating with this new 'push for equality'?

Obviously, this is discriminating to those that practice the faith of Islam. How many Muslim woman will be subjected to 'punishment' because they were seen in the same bathroom as a biological male?

Oh, wait, Muslim women aren't supposed to be anywhere away from home without their male escort...but, that can be solved by legislation too...that will be the next area of accommodation that schools, businesses, and governments will have to dictate.

We're gonna have to build a lot more bathrooms to handle the clash of protected classes and genders and religions....

Is there are is there not a law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in federally funded education? Based on that, couldn't non-adherence to this law result in lawsuits or removal of federal funding?

Isn't Obama just pointing out facts that currently exist? How is that authoritarian?
he is the ultimate authoritarian as are all liberals/democrats. We are so screwed!!

I think a lot of people are confusing man for transgender man

everybody would agree a man going into a womens room is wrong.

a transgender man identifies with the feminine ways of thinking, as is no more a risk than a woman going into the womens room.

a transgender man is not a pervert or danger, and the first transgender organizations formed in the 1950's. This has been happening for over 50 years people !!!!. There isn't 1 recorded assault in a bathroom by a transgender male, but now all of a sudden it is an issue ?

tail wagging the dog !!!

what we are going to get with this absurd debate is a pervert pretending to be transgender male and going into the womens room

and if that happens, god forbid, we can thank this absurd attention to a total non issue for that

He's a cross dresser.

He's not a transgender.

It's not that at all. It boils down to being comfortable. A transgender man says they don't want to use the men's restroom because they feel uncomfortable there because they identify as a woman. Well then why can't a woman be uncomfortable that a man walks into the ladies room??? I doesn't matter if the "man" walking into the ladies room identifies as a 13 year old Chinese girl, why are the feelings of the other ladies in the room irrelevant?

I get your advocacy, I really do. I don't think people should infringe on others rights but when we are speaking about publicly shared spaces where individual privacys are shared then I think the majority should have the right of way. Displacing the small security public restrooms afford each sex for the .01% is just not rational.

If he identified as a transgender then he'll try using the ladies room. You know it and everyone else here knows it.

I went to a bar once 12 yrs ago or so, and was about to come out of the stall when i heard a mans voice. It totally 'f'ked' me up and i said 'who the hell let you in here', when i came out it was a queer looking muscular man with 3 ft of makeup on and fishnets. To say the least it was the last time i went there.

anyways you missed the fact that ordinary Men are also using the ladies room, whether you dream about it or not, thinking the Majority of People are ok with it isn't going to make it so. One Individuals Rights don't trump the Individual Rights of the Majority.

honestly, I think you as an octogenarian are a disgrace to the human race and I have no idea where your libertarianism holier than thou attitude comes from. I know from your posts you are in your seventies and where you got this attitude from is truly dumbfounding as you were not raised with it. God help us if you and your belief is the new norm. (IS that islam talking)¿¿¿¿can I post this???

For all. For those who are unsure of their gender. For those who would not want another gender sharing their rest rooms. Here is the how-to. Drop drawers. Look at crotch. Got a pee pee? Go to the boy's room. Got a hoo ha? Go to the girl's room.
If you think you are another gender trapped in the wrong body, work it out elsewhere.

balderdash. we are not talking about cross dressers here. here is a relevant example. I doubt this young person would cause much of a stir in the womens room or make anyone uncomfortable
