The crime she may have committed or assumed she did, involve too many hands in the pot. Although one of them hands in pot may get burned beyond recognition and that alone will send out the message, "you don't mess with me", kids.

No,
That doesn't make any sense.

If she gets off it will be because all her friends are in the Justice Dept and the White House. The number of people involved is irrelevant.
