Sgt Elizabeth Marks who is competing in the Invictus Games in Orlando Florida, has given one of her Gold Medals to The NHS. She states that whilst in The U.K. she became seriously ill and had to be admitted into Papworth Hospital Cambridgeshire.

The treatment she recieved there saved her life. It's human stories such as this that give me hope for humanity. Good on you Elizabeth Marks

Good deal...

She took all 4 gold medals in the swimming categories. The one she is giving to the Hospital in the UK was the one Prince Harry placed on here.

Kinda cool...

What a sterling expression of gratitude.

Congratulations to both the Sgt. herself, and the staff of the hospital that treated her. Winners, one and all!

Very cool move by her, and I'm sure the hospital staff very much appreciates it. They really don't get enough gratitude. When people go to the hospital, the expectation is everything will be "fixed", so it's either "you did your job" or "you failed" if they're not happy with the outcome. Many times, a less-than-ideal outcome was only arrived at because people did their best, and anything less would have resulted in much worse.
