I have no idea what this is.

It's a very slow moving, very high altitude "object". The high altitude is a guess, I really can't tell, no clouds in the sky at all.

Moving slowing south to north, bright white to yellow. Since I've been watching it's gone from about 45 degrees from horizon to almost directly, though not quite over head. Speed seems to fluctuate. I've put binoculars on it, I don't see any flashers, and I'm not seeing any shape to it.

Is anyone else seeing this light?

Grab a cell phone and get some video while it is still around. - I am guessing Jupiter or Mars.

My first thought was possibly "skippy", that Zaph mentions upon occasion, but it's not moving fast enough, at least to my less than knowledgeable eyes.

I'm on the boarder. Haven't seen anything odd. I'll update if so and look for sources.

It could be military craft flying to a base or doing a night exercise. That part of the state, with its arid climate and small population would be ideal for military training.
There is an Air Force Base in Spokane. There are probably Army detachments nearby.

Well, whatever it was is gone. So it wasn't Saturn, which is right where it belongs, or any of the stars I'm familiar with.

Sometime between 2145'ish, when last I saw it, and about an hour ago when I looked again, it disappeared.

I've no idea...not one single clue.

Same part of the sky as my sighting back in late Feb., but different. This one stayed, as far as I can tell, high in the sky virtually over head, where it went when it went? I haven't the vaguest notion.

It's another damned mystery that I'll never solve to my satisfaction.

UFO's, and a bigfoot sighting, and no, I don't believe there is any correlation between the two.

I haven't seen anything on any of the UFO site, either.

So... Phooey.

American lantern....made in China?

On a serious note though, was there any clouds? I've seen satellites appear to speed up and slow down when it is cloudy (faint clouds, satellite not necessarily moving above them)....just a trick of the eyes.
