I've seen a picture of himwith Hitler, I have seen nothing on money's given to finance the Nazi cause.

He certainly had big backing, if not a first, then later from Krupp, Porche , et al.

I suppose it's not impossible that U.S. interests were also involved. Having the chap posting it without backing it up-and it still hasn't been- strikes as glib.

Frankly, most of the U.S. boys made their money getting rid of him......

I think your summarized it perfectly. Plenty of egos, money and 'good ol' boy' networks to properly sort out.

Then there's the current crowd that pulls one datum out of many and overstresses it to make a political point in the present.

It makes this forum less enjoyable in the long run.

Prescott Bush financed a chunk of the steel industry.
Put up capital for a German freind.

Paper trail is there.

So, lets see, anyone who invests in Germany, pre-WWII, is financing Nazis. In this instance steel.

That's your view of it?

That's your view of it?

If they invested after 1933 then yes.

And there were UK buisnessmen guilty of the same.

Of course, in 1933 no-one had any idea that Hitler was planning on burning Europe to the ground; instead, they saw a forward looking government dedicated to restoring Germany's industrial economy. It looked like an excellent bet. (This is why some people are so leery of a certain American candidate's promise to make America white great again.)
