He says:

“I think we have got to think about way that the Democratic party for a start starts funding the equivalent of Fox television,” he said in an interview that aired Friday on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.”

Sanders on Combating Corporate Media: Dems Should Be ‘Funding the Equivalent of Fox’

In talking about corporate media tonight, Bernie Sanders said that Democrats should be looking into building up an “equivalent” of Fox News.

He told Rachel Maddow that Americans are tired of corporate-run media, and so she asked, “What’s the solution to corporate media?”

Maddow said, “We have got to think about ways that the Democratic party, for a start, starts funding the equivalent of Fox television.”


He also said that the media should be pressured into “real discussions on real issues” instead of wasting so much time on process and “what dumb thing did Donald Trump say yesterday.”

Well, if you're going to debate with him, at least do it right. Define liberal, so all can know what the debate is over.

No Mr. Sanders, we don't need another biased news network, we already have enough of them as is. What we need is a balanced news network that reports facts instead of digging into emotional bipartisan biases like Fox News, MSNBC, etc.

If we "need" a Democratic news channel (as if there aren't enough already) then we are only dividing people even more than those other networks already are.

I like Sanders but this was a bonehead statement by him.

Eh, MSNBC just pretends to be liberal. Like CNN and the rest of the MSM, they are owned by the elite and push agendas for the elite and they've not been a Sanders supporter at all, they support Clinton. The media treats Sanders slightly better than they did Ron Paul.

On the flip side, the MSM loves Trump.

I have to disagree to some extent.

It is impossible for humans to report without injecting their bias. It will show in the way you rank the importance of facts and in your word choice.

As others have noted, we already have enough biased news stations, without having another that is intentionally biased.
