Hillary forces target Bush donors Their message to moderate Republicans: She represents your values better than Trump. Read more: www.politico.com... Follow us: @politico on Twitter | Politico on Facebook

NEW YORK -- Hillary Clinton’s supporters in recent days have been making a furious round of calls to top Bush family donors to try to convince them that she represents their values better than Donald Trump, multiple sources in both parties told POLITICO. The moves come as Clinton and the Democratic Party try to take advantage of deep unease among establishment Republicans on Wall Street and elsewhere with Trump’s emergence as the presumptive Republican nominee. Story Continued Below Top targets for the Clinton team include people like Woody Johnson, Jeb Bush’s former finance chair and the owner of the New York Jets. In recent days, Bush’s brother and father, former presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, have said they plan to skip Trump’s nominating convention. One person close to Clinton said supporters of the former secretary of state drew up a list of Wall Street donors who supported Jeb Bush and other unsuccessful Republican candidates months ago but wanted to wait until Trump locked down the nomination before beginning to make the calls. “When you think about it there is no downside to making these calls, including for Hillary herself to make then,” this person said. “They may say no but they will talk to her for half an hour about their view of the world and probably say nice things when asked about her publicly. And they might stay away from Trump.” Read more: www.politico.com... Follow us: @politico on Twitter | Politico on Facebook

One big Clinton donor on Wall Street said that Bush donors are prime targets and that "we're a big tent." Potential sources of support for Clinton could include people like Jack Oliver, who also served as a top fundraiser for Jeb Bush. Both Johnson and Oliver did not respond to requests for comment. The race for Wall Street cash will be intense.

This lady and her team is something else, wasn't it a few nights or debates ago she was all about not being Wall St. president for hire?? now she is overly confident she got the whole thing on lock down she might as well release her speech to the Bankers to remind them how much she loves them and they can do no wrong, I am gonna have to say this, I ain't voting for that lady..and yes I am pragmatic and can't stomach a Trump win, but if my mindset is of the same as other Bernie supporters, then Trump will be the next president, sure America will suffer for at-least four years, maximum eight, but Americans are a tough lot we survived uncivil wars WWI,WWII the crash of 1929 we will survive a Trump presidency but my conscience can't have me going to my consulate office and casting my vote for her sorry can't do it..

Hell Naaw!! Burnie or Bust.

Doesn't this just show that Bush was a big progressive?

This really isn't "news" but it is confirmation that my criticism of Bush and most republicans is correct. Most politicians are progressive, meaning that they want an authoritarian rule and bigger government.

Similar to socialism, but without the false sense of sincerity.

It is all one big club there in our nation's capital.

Although many see Trump and Sanders as being outside of that club, I suspect that they too are members.
Eben if they aren't part of that group, they wouldn't accomplish anything if they were allowed to be elected.

I love Bernie too. But, all elections take that elusive thing called money. I am not sure why yet, but that is what they say. I guess that is why they want 0 to nil in tax structures, to pay the politicians more directly for ownership. So, who has more $27 to contribute to the person they believe will work for them? The uber rich like the Bushes who are connected to all the other uber rich, like the Clintons. And Trump has moved in those circles since birth also.

Get use to the struggle til you die. Stop dreaming and wanting a better life. Laws aren't made for you and me except to throw us in jail.

No. I am not a happy citizen today on Mothers Day. We spent thousands of dollars on education for our kids for $10/hr jobs. Screw it all.

Ah donno I was neively hoping against hope that she and her team would see that there is another path to take than the same ol same ol but i'll be dammed if she didn't gleefully hopped right on that same old path.

I'd say it's all about timing. I'm sure she'll court Bernie supporters at some point; she has to. The problem is that she courted Wall Street before she courted Bernie Street and there-in lies the problem. She has her priorities mixed up.

I know she thinks that, but guess what she and her team is missing?? we don't care for her courting , she is pegged as a sellout say anything do anything , we have long memories and not about to play that game, we have the internet there is no moving beyond her trust issues, plus a lot of Burnie supporters are Indies they could give a fig about party affiliation some may jump ship and vote for the other guy but I think most will sit on their votes like they did the midterms.

Smart smart lady. Right now there are lost votes because people will stay home rather than vote for Trump.
It takes money to run a campaign.
Or are you upset that Donald didn't do it first.

Hint he doesn't do anything first. He's a copy cat.

Hillary forces target Bush donors

This doesn't surprise me in the least... DC has long been a huge incestuous cesspool of the greedy and power hungry and self-serving.

What I do wonder is why we're allowed to know about it. Did someone leak what should have been kept secret? Do they think we're just too stupid to figure it out? Do they just not care if we know because they think there's nothing we can and/or will do about it? Are they poking and taunting us to do something about it?

So many questions and so few answers...

Highlighted in BOLD!

This is all about globalization. The one big roadblock is the Constitution of the USA. The easiest way to get rid of it is Martial Law. I sincerely believe Ferguson was a test. Keep a close eye on the RNC convention in Cleveland. I think the shock and awe of our police state will shine the light on this corrupt governments intentions. To be honest, look at those who choose to protest violently and how it seems the police have been neutered from the top down on dealing with the violence.

This could get 10 million votes for Trump in the November election.

They just keep going and going don't they.

Yeah, that's about it. That's why I suspect we're being poked and taunted into violence to justify martial law.

Exactly.

Yup! And in other situations, LEOs shoot first and coverup later...

Interesting times we're living in -- and not in a good way! At least not yet. I have hope though.

Hillary has denounced them on mainstream media. She said she would never take their money.

Hillary also is a 'combat veteran'.... landing under intense sniper and mortar fire in Bosnia..... until someone bothered to look into it.
Now, she claims that she 'misremembered'.

So what is it?
Alzheimer's?
Or is she just a liar?

Which answer will make her a better President?

Which is why she's in bed with Wall Street...... after trying to convince the common folks she's against them and shares John Q. Public's values.

She's just easily confused. At least that's what Huma said.
