HI,

I have Lyme and have tried many different doctors, naturopaths and all the different treatments( which have cost me A LOT of money). I would like to see who here on ATS has Lyme, and what they are treating themselves with, and if their Lyme has completely gone, or showed itself again.

There is sooo many people all with their own cures, that's it hard to know what will and won't work, without having to buy every single potion or new herb. I suppose what I'm looking for is proof that some thing works! I know that's hard but if something has worked for you, and the Lyme hasn't came back, that's the story i want to listen to.

I have come across this MAFActive cream that people are using to treat themselves with, for Lyme and many other problems. It's the only thing i have came across that has actually been scientifically tested and researched to show it works as its meant to. I'm going to give it a try.

i have searched through the existing threads(most which were quite old) and would have to spend hours to find what everyone is doing for treating themselves. So i thought it might be a good idea to collaborate everyone's info here. Also if some one who has already posted on ATS about what worked for them years ago, i'd love to hear if you are still healthy!

thanks

I am very sorry to learn that you have lymes disease.

Is it chronic lymes and if so have they actually diagnosed you as such? I ask because of the ordeal my family went through a couple years back when a family member was stricken with it and ignored by 7 different "doctors" and 2 "specialists" they all told them it was in their head.

We finally went to what is called a LLMD, a lyme literate doctor and he was able to give them validation in the fact that yes they did have lymes and it had spread. My family member went from being healthy to in a very bad state within a year while the "medical authorities" ignored them and simply through pills at them.

Through a regimen of anit, pro, and pre biotics as well as a nutritional plan and other things health was restored. It did induce Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I recommend researching something that is controversial, food grade hydrogen peroxide go over as much material as you can and come to your own conclusion. Many references found in here.

The logic of it to me is sound. H202 water and oxygen to of the most important elements your body needs. The oxygen destroys pathogens like no ones business and your body has methods of breaking it down safely. I use it in my personal life and find that I do not get sick anymore. It is inexpensive you just want to be careful when putting it into a dropper and then you add small amounts to water, if you have any further questions shoot them my way, I truly do believe ti can help.

If you do find your interested in it, I recommend this brand- Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide 35%

They don't believe Lyme exists in Aussie. I have been treated for several tick bites leaving welts and rings where I was bitten.

Got very sick to the extent I was taken to casualty ward and treated. After telling the practitioner what has occurred his first comments were, "Next you're gonna tell me you have Lyme disease."

I answered with, "No, just what is wrong with me." Aching joints, fever on and off, dizzyness, no strength and general flu like symtoms gradually getting worse. I was fit and healthy prior.

I was given some pain killers, had xrays and blood tests, sent home and later told they could find nothing wrong with me.

The onset made eating bread and drinking milk whether in coffee or on cereal intolerable, had the runs and felt sick after each meal. I bloated out and looked like a pregnant male. Out in the sun my temp rapidily rose and I needed ice packs. But enough of the whinging and whining.

I changed my diet and stayed out of the sun for a while. Cut down on sugars and carbs and cut most dairy products and bread out of my diet. After 6 weeks the bloating and constant runs disaapeared as did the welts and rashes. My energy returned and my weight lessened. Mostly work indoors now during the day but like a bit of sun at the beach.

I also found that I was starting to drink a lot of water. Several litres a day.

Anyway, now a couple of months down the track after starting my change in diet, I feel much better but can still feel the effects of too much sun. A big difference from working in the deserts and the top end of australia several years ago where I had no effects like I get now.

This worked for me and was easy as I have previously used low carb diets to keep fit in my previous occupation. If I get ill again from the effects there is no way I will go back to the doctor.

Anyway several days after my initial tests I was informed I tested positive to a mosquito born virus call 'Barmah Forrest Virus'. Never heard of it. But it's on google. A notifiable disease and was put on a register. (Similar to "Ross River Virus) No further information about the tick bites.

The cutting out of certain foods that made me ill helped whether low carb intake assisted I can't say but I won't have milk in my coffe or any cereals or breads as I feel ill not long after ingestion and start to bloat. (P.S. Tests reveal I am Lactose tolerent)

Hope this assists.

Kind regards,

Bally

I think MESOSILVER brand is the tiniest particle size and the most potent by a standard deviation or two. Amazon.com has it.

. . . as tested by an independent lab, IIRC.

There's one other brand that's a little bit above useless in potency.

The rest are essentially useless or very close to it.

Haven't been diagnosed as chronic, but I've had it for about 8 yrs. i think i spent approx 3 months on antibiotics more than once. In the end the last doctor that tried me on them I basically told him to get f***ed. all it did was keep me sick! I'll check out your link thank you.

Yep been told several times we don't have it here. God the amount of times I've had my mrs take me to the ER and have them run all sorts of tests and then hours later tell me i just need to rest, there is nothing wrong.

I've tried diets, i tried going the gym, and ive hammered the beer when all feels hopeless, and you know what? No matter what i do, nothing seems to affect the frequency of me being sick. Like this last month I've been sick for most of it. Similar symptoms to you, but i have a constant head ache, and some days i need to just sleep( anywhere from 8- 18 hours at a time). And my heart races like I've just been for a run, super dry mouth( i drink heaps of water).

Glad you found a way to feel normal again mate.

I've had Lymes three times now and it should be taken seriously. I live in southwest Wisconsin in the country where there are lots of deer ticks. Every time I get Lymes, I've gotten the usual flu-like symptoms. Doctors here don't even bother with the Lymes test , they just prescribed doxycycline or amoxicillin when you present with the symptoms and a bulls-eye rash. I took these pills for 2-3 weeks ......consumed no alcohol , but drank lots of water and was fine.

Just keep going out and drinking beer. If you keep limeys drunk they stay happier and hungover and won't be able to bother you.

Sorry to hear mate. I stopped beers for this reason. If I have a drink I find just straight spirits or 50/50 with a bit of water is okay.

Hope you get over it.

Kind regards,

Bally

Jeez that sux getting it 3 times! When i first got it i was in bed for 2 months straight. Was so fatigued and constant headaches and flu like symptoms. Not one doctor mentioned it could be lyme. I seen neuro specialists, about 10 different docs, had a bloody million blood tests for everything under the sun ( except lyme!). All said i just need to rest lol. Bloody hell i'd rested for over two months!

G'day Drifta,

Thought I'd chime in and see how you're travelling with the ailment.

Feeling better or improving? Seems like you've had a bad dose.

I'm still having the odd relapse but only small compared to the original dose I reported in this forum.

I never bother with the doctor anymore. Just put up with it. Liking winter here presently as I can spend more time outdoors. Hope you're feeling better.

Kind regards,

Bally
