Someone tell Trump to not drink the water.
Mexico must pay for the wall and, until they do, the United States will, among other things: impound all remittance payments derived from illegal wages; increase fees on all temporary visas issued to Mexican CEOs and diplomats (and if necessary cancel them); increase fees on all border crossing cards – of which we issue about 1 million to Mexican nationals each year (a major source of visa overstays); increase fees on all NAFTA worker visas from Mexico (another major source of overstays); and increase fees at ports of entry to the United States from Mexico [Tariffs and foreign aid cuts are also options]. We will not be taken advantage of anymore.

For those speaking about the cartels in relation to a hypothetical wall it will have minimal to no impact. The cartels are filling a need, that as suppliers of narcotics, much in the same way that bootleggers filled a need during Prohibition and the booze flowed freely despite having oceans to contend with in the delivery process.
A wall is not going to slow down the cartels when it comes to drugs, repeal of our moronic War on Drugs policy will, it cuts them off at the knees and guts a huge part of their income derived from the sale of drugs in the United States.

All the time we spend messing about halfway around the world. Yet we have a festering cesspool lingering just miles away in the form of the drug cartels.
I'd like to see our military used, overtly, to address this problem and to "bring stability" to our region.
