He broke no laws in doing such.

We really don't know that yet.

Like i said, agree with him or not....he acted on his principals. Not everyone is motivated by money. His principals are his not yours. Everyone has their version of right and wrong, and he had the balls to act on his beliefs.

Most of us would be so lucky to act with the testicular fortitude that he did. Most of us don't.

Your principals are different from his, like mine are different from yours and so on. Good and bad is not black and white....grey is the color I think it most represents.

lol... I doubt if anyone responding in this thread is building a cross in the back room to nail him on?? they're just typing words, that appear on a screen, for people to accept or reject... just like on the sign and bumper sticker on the lady's cars were just words, attached to her car, for people to accept or reject. I have an old pen that was given to my grandmother way back around 1900.. it's still in it's original packaging. on that package is the saying:
"The pen is mightier than the sword."
take away our pens, our keyboards, our printing presses, and yes even our bumper stickers, and we are on our way back to being ruled by swords.

Haven't you met Annie?

You are correct and I would love to see that pen! But I offer this. The pen is truly mightier than the sword. But with the sword you practice and learn not only how and when to wield it, but whether or not you should. The pen...or keyboard provides no such training and the human mind in these days doesn't always keep up with the fingers on that keyboard. Our words flow quicker than our brain can filter. Therefore...more so with our words than the sword, we have an even greater responsibility for how we wield it...how we decide when and where to swing it...and whether or not we should. That level of training doesn't exist for our words. We throw them around like a child with a gun and then turn and walk away when it goes off...accidentally.

Its not illegal to be an a**hole.......not sure what more you want?

Maybe if you're driving a tow truck and refuse a customer for less then legitimate reasons.

I'm sure we'll find out.

And I guess you will define what is legitimate? Scary thought.

That's right. He stood by his principles which include leaving a woman stranded on the side of the road and neglecting his duty as a tow truck driver to do his job. He also failed his so called Faith which says to help others in need, even your enemies.

So I guess you can support those same principles as you support him. That's your choice, this is true. What a great choice it is too BTW. I'm sure you're very proud.

Also, I don't see how it takes any balls to do absolutely nothing other than shirk your responsibilities and blame those actions on an invisible sky god. That takes very tiny shriveled balls at most.

Then maybe you should stop judging and assume innocence until guilt is proven. Instead of trying to prove guilt while others proclaim the possibility of innocence...even if innocence is by his stupidity.

Hey Annie. Completely off-topic and from left field...I don't know why but we always seem to argue and I want to at least let you know it isn't anything personal. I don't think you are a bad person or anything, I just don't agree with your core values. I bet we would have one hell of a fun conversation over drinks

If it's his truck and his business, oh well. His loss.

What if something happened to that women during the 2 1/2 hours she sat on the side of the road waiting for help? What if she had been robbed, raped or murdered, while she sat their vulnerable and alone?

What if she had been picked up by aliens, what if a meteor fell out the sky and crushed her, what if she couldn't get to the lottery office to claim her winning power ball ticket in the last hour before the claim period expired....none of these matter because "what if's" are not "what is" sorry, but there is no sense to worry about what if, just worry about life as it really is.

okay, so I own a restaurant on main street in town, next door to me there's a waffle shop, across the street, a denny's, next to that is a mcdonalds, and so on.. down the road we go, all different places where one could go to eat. a group of christians comes in, I know they are christians the minute they walk into the door, just like they do every sunday about this time, because they are "praising jesus" and whatnot so loud that everyone in my establishment knows they are christians. I can't hang a sorry christians not served here sign on my door, because they are protected!
but, one little lady, who happens to be disabled, has a couple of signs on her broken down car can get refused a tow, because the driver of the truck want to make a political statement to her?? um... I'm sorry, but the group of christians has at least six other restaurants closer to them than the next exit is to the lady in the car, and their cars run, and they probably don't have much of a problem walking across the street...

so, why are the groups of christians special???

Thanks.

I do try to stick to my perspective. Try never to call people names.

My core values? At 70, been through a lot, seen many changes, raised kids and grand kids. I lived when life was basically role playing. I prefer the Opening Rose freeing all those mysteries we kept trying to shove under the rug.

About the only thing I miss is respect.

You are mixing religion with politics.....he refused to tow her after a wreck due to the political stickers...had nothing to do with religion (which is protected under law, politics are not) He simply mentioned he was christian.....he refused to tow her due to the socialist Bernie stickers....

Do I have to post a more in depth story about this so yall can get it right?

She wasn't broke down, she had a fender bender.......and her tow company couldn't come in time so her tow company dispatched the other tow company. FACK.

Did I judge and assume?

He left a woman on the side of the road for a really lame reason. That is just a fact.

hey some of the gun owners seem to be just as careless with their bullets, even the cops.
again going back to the general state of society. and in many ways, I think the carelessness is shared by members of all groups...

not just conservatives
or liberals,
or the poor,
or the rich.....
or any other group.

Kinda reminds me of this

www.abovetopsecret.com...

There's jackasses on both sides, don't kid yourself.

Very true, it does seem that bornies and fundies (are they even different from each other, is it a mutually exclusive thing, IDK, I just made up the term bornies, just because...) Anyways I have noticed that alot of the people who claim to be the greatest most loyal followers of "insert deity" happen to be arrogant borderline horrible people, a lot of those I have dealt with seem to think that by going to church 1 day a week, they can be obnoxious hypocritical asshats the other 6 days... Not trying to say religion is bad, it's just bad when jerks use it to hide behind to make themselves feel better about being jerks...a free pass if you will
