Take a look at the last 15 yearly totals for apprehensions from the same border patrol source. They're way down:

US Border Patrol Apprehension Totals

FY 2000, total apprehensions at the border: 1,676,438

FY 2015, total apprehensions at the border: 337,117

So not only are the illegal numbers dropping, the documented immigrants are dropping.

In every way there are fewer Mexicans coming across the border -- legally or illegal. Period.

Mexico is a buncha hypocrites....they have their wall to keep out Guatemalans and their fancy ID's to prevent voter fraud, and they have harsh immigration laws, you have to assimilate to THEIR culture....the list goes on. We're trying to do the same thing here and Trumps the racist?

Thats because the cartels are in the business of smuggling humans across. Many of them die before they get here or are sold into slavery. If its an official count....I wouldn't count on it being entirely accurate.

Still don't believe the numbers though, them can be fudged to make others look good. One way to know for sure...get a lawn chair and sit on the border and count.

Actually there are much better walls than the old fashion kind. We had electronic walls and ANYTHING that crossed the walls threshold could be noted and tracked or just shot on the spot. One heck of allot more efficient working device than a brick and mortar edifice. They even have sniffer devices and vibration devices that look just like plants that can detect a breath or a fart much better than a human or dog's nose and that was in the 60s/70's ... So according to your data and logic. If there were ZERO apprehensions at the border, Illegal Immigration would be considered OVER....right?
