Predicting Earthquakes from Space (moved from ATSNN)

QuakeSim is a project headed by Andrea Donnellan, a scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, CA. QuakeSim apparently uses things like GPS and InSAR to measure ground movement from space and create models to help scientists predict earth movements with greater accuracy.



Perhaps tragedies like the one in Indonesia will not be so devastating once systems like this are in place and fully operational.
