No one has focused on who Sanders is? Like, for reals? Let's see, how about everyone has, both his supporters and haters alike! You're a great example of this!

I'm almost amazed you didn't compare him to Hitler but I guess even that's to low for you considering his family was killed by the Nazis? So Stalin wins as runner up?

Should I counter with Trump/Hitler/Stalin memes too? This is how political discourse is done these days, amirite?

You are aware that ATS is not the general public, yes?

Funny you say that, he did exactly that!

Donald Trump calls Ted Cruz 'one hell of a competitor'

So, now that Lucifer in the flesh has exited the building, does this mean Trump will get the Republican nomination?

Who else is left in the GOP that is of any real competition?

Kasich won some state, didn't he?

Yes, I also heard that his father was a mailman, too. I think. I wonder if Trump will be telling us about how his father was involved in some conspiracy or other pretty soon.

That's what fighters do after a fight.

Show mutual respect after the fight is over.

It's typical in co.petition to show respect to your opponent it shows class in sports.

Are you serious! You're gonna sit there and tell me I live in a political bubble of only ATS?

You're gonna tell me Sanders hasn't been attacked by the media and the conservatives for being a socialist?

You're a Trump supporter aren't you?

If I was Trump I'd pick Cruz as my VP.
You know, someone that nobody ever wants to see as President.

It'd be like a clever kind of life insurance policy. Or rather life assurance policy.

Good point - and I have been saying the same thing.
The GOP might not give up so easy. Their plan C might be something like getting a VP they want, then Trump has an accident.
He better be careful who he picks.

Will somebody please check on Glenn Beck??

There was a comment on reddit that read:

"Glenn Beck is on literal suicide watch right now"

I laughed for a good 30 seconds at that.

Sidebar: I use to like Glenn Beck. I was in high school when he was first on air and he opened my eyes to a lot of the ins and outs of the political system. I learned of George Soros through watching his program, and this was back in 2008/2009. I was always excited to watch his program when I got home from school.

But Glenn Beck today is a much much different person. I don't like that he's become so religious. Before, a lot of his points were spot on and logical, today it seems like he justifies a lot of his views because -insert religious reason here-. I'm an atheist and while I do think there are important lessons to learn in religion, I don't think we should be justifying 21st century political and social ideals with them.

You haven't actually read the thread at all or you'd know I outed myself finally with who my actual preference was.

Explain to me again why I should spend time on you if you can't be bothered to pay attention?

Maybe not! Last I read he was polling at 11%! With a Trump | Clinton race many people will not be voting the lesser of two evils, myself included.

He would want to say he bet a good opponent, whether or not true. Isn't saying much to beat a poor opponent and doesn't add much to the image.

That's a good point- who do all the upset Cruz supporters get behind now?

Surely not Kasich?

Any Cruz supporters care to oblige with this answer?

Cruz supporters get behind Trump not Clinton that's for sure.

Especially after Trump reveals some inside dirt on the Clintons through that one publication what's it called...

Your not getting it! They held back during the primary for a reason! The media is 80% left/liberal biased. The power brokers that own the media dictated the light hand on Trump cause the knew Hillary was polling best against Trump. When Trump gets to 1237 watch the friendly media turn on him and wallah! Hillary and her teflon vest will prevail unfortunately!

If anyone watched Trump's speech, I think we just saw his version of 'acting Presidential". Remember all the "I can act Presidential when I want to, I just don't want to, I don't have to".

We just saw it. His 'act'. His Presidential act.

I actually prefer it over the usual buffoon performing with buffoonery.
Pardon me. This is probably the wrong thread for this observation.

Actually a Cruz VP pick would be smart for another reason. With all the discord that has been sewn between the two campaigns, it might be easier to bring the two voting blocks together that way. Look at Indiana - Trump had 53% and Cruz had 36%+ with Kasich only have 8%?

You marry those two numbers and you have 89% of the vote potentially locked up if you can convince them to stay on board.

That's a nice number given the high turnout for GOP in general.

First you try to tell me Sanders hasn't been demonized for being a Democratic Socialist and now you're telling me I haven't read the thread?

So please, for the feeble minded such as myself, explain to me exactly what it is you're talking about.
