As someone of faith, I understand the attraction of seeing someone who seems sincere getting into the highest office in the land, but that wasn't why I was leaning Cruz. I liked his constitutionalist stance on a lot of issues. I honestly trusted that more than I trusted what I am hearing from Trump although I don't dislike what I am hearing from Trump on some issues.

I just felt I got more depth from Cruz and less from Trump.

I have never been more disappointed in a crop of Presidential candidates.
I don't honestly like any if them.
Sure, each may say a thing or two that I may agree with, but is that want I want to execute the laws of the land, nope.

It looks more like a lose/lose proposition with each day that passes.

Hold your nose and pull the lever for the 'least stinky'.

Every poll so far has Sanders crushing Trump. Just google it, it's all there and just a few keystrokes away!

Yep, of course, nevermind that no one has focused on just exactly who Sanders really is.

I mean, we haven't exposed all the skeletons in his closet or his shady past ...

It is his father with Oswald. The issue was the insinuation he was involved in the assassination of JFK. Since we have no clue who killed JFK....

I heard the dad deny it on the news, he says he wasn't in New Orleans during that time frame.

Are you saying this is why he dropped out?
He was afraid of continued scrutiny about this?
hmmmm

Bingo!
Someone should make a thread about this. Could be accurate.

Interestingly enough CNN talked about his father - Oswald. They said it severely knocked Cruz off his game in Indiana but never expounded as to why it had that effect.

If its not true then why would it affect him?

I forsee a big deadlock between Trump and Congress, assuming it ends up in place. I think Congress will refuse to work with an outsider who has told them they are losers and ignorant. It has away been business as usual, why change now.

Well, unless they have jobs for life, they maybe should play ball.

All Trump has to do is call out names at election time.

lol!!

Maybe he was expecting them to ask if his father also knew where the missing Malaysian airliner was too? Insinuating it was still in the black hole? I'm sure his father was piloting it.

So you're just gonna make stuff up cause it feels right?

Who do you support? Trump?

Honestly, I don't think I support anyone.

If a gun was put to my head and I was told to choose the candidate with the most integrity and best interest of our fellow citizens and their well being then I would very rapidly reach with my right hand and press the button labeled Sanders.

This is going to be fascinating to watch. The GOP now has almost no options left and will be left with Trump as its nominee unless they have some obscure rule they are going to pull out. And so we are likely seeing the death of major political party in the the US and the ascent of the DNC into an all powerful position. This election will hand the the DNC the White House, the Senate, the House and the Supreme Court.

What will be fun to watch is if the GOP can purge itself after the election and recover or will it just fold up and go away. And what will the DNC do with no opposition? History has shown us that without a common enemy political parties tend to fracture do to in fighting. For anyone who enjoys the study of politics in the US the next decade will be fascinating.

The national enquirer apparently endorsed trump, which I did not know until looking into this more.

Apparently, at least according to Cruz, the owner of the National Enquirer is Trump's friend.

Sarcasm aside why would a story labeled as not true affect Cruz and why would CNN say it affected Cruz?

No wonder Cruz had a meltdown today. He saw this coming.
And yay! Finally.

Now Trump can concentrate on Hillary! This should be good!

Trump twisted the knife with that comment about Cruz's dad, ew Trump is a stinker

I am never sure what you mean or how serious you are. maybe you like the mystery.

Trump hit Cruz with that Enquirer article, and Cruz went off the deep end.

Congrats America. Now you're going to get Trump or Hillary

I know many didn't like Cruz, but I think you're going to find this far far worse

We deserve this, sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you make a change

One of the biggest mistakes this country has made in a long long time

We all have our breaking point.

Trump has hit at Cruz, yes, but he has also gone after Cruz's wife and now Cruz's father.

It could be as simple as that.
