Just in: @TedCruz is ending his presidential campaign, campaign manager Jeff Roe tells me.

link 2 (thanks for the link Snarl)

Ted Cruz is quitting the presidential race, according to campaign manager Jeff Roe, ending one of the best-organized campaigns of 2016 after a series of stinging defeats left Donald Trump as the only candidate capable of clinching the nomination outright. Cruz had appeared likely to go all the way to the Republican convention, but a string of massive losses in the Northeast, and his subsequent defeat in Indiana, appear to have convinced him there’s no way forward.

It's not often on here that news is posted with glee, but I am gleeful.

I was sincerely scared of the possibility of a country under his leadership.

Now.. Come on Bernie, just win Cali.
I want to see Trump vs Sanders!

And he just announced oh whats her name as his VP! Then she fell off the stage announcing him to a rally! So embarrassing!

May he never run again and soon leaves politics altogether. Now the clown show that is the GOP will fall apart under a Trump reign.

Unless, the RNC plays its game and nominates Kacish! LMAO! Why hasn't he dropped out?

I would do the Hoosier Daddy joke again, but I won't.

If he ever wants to run again, he's doing the right thing. Fox is indeed reporting that he's going to drop out of the primary race.

I'll wait to hear his speech...

Yet, I bet Kasich will still be like the guy who graduated high school two years ago and continues to hang out in the parking lot at 3pm.

For better or worse people need to get behind the American Pharoah.

I think Sanders will hang in there until there is movement on Clinton and the email mess.

Now all the establishment has to do is get rid of Trump ... the price on his head just get that much bigger. If I were Trump, I'd get a lot more paranoid ...

Can you imagine if someone takes him out? Hello ... Jeb!

How many times have some guys had to try? Reagan went through it at least twice, if not three times to get the nom.

Reagan never acted like the total sleaze that Cruz comes across as.

No, to hear people talk, Reagan was just a total doddering goofball.

Of course, it is interesting that people will let someone like Trump tell them that Cruz is a sleaze. Pot/kettle and all that.

Trump had no impact on my thinking Cruz was a sleaze, Cruz did.

If someone told me in November 2012 after the GOP just took the Senate that I would be voting for Donald Trump as President in two years, I would have questioned their sanity. Now I question America's.

Oh well. Let's make America great again! At least it's not Jeb.

Then there would be no one to challenge Trump from either side.

Ludicrous thought, huh..?
