That's right.

I quit. Some fat old man, anonymous on the internet, has quit smoking.

Big ####ing deal.

But you know what? After almost 40 years of smoking, I'm pretty effing proud of myself. I no longer want to kill random people on the street. I just went cold turkey. I want to be alive and well when my grandkids need to be spoiled.

Day two was actually harder than day one..

Day three, today, was a cake walk.

Don't know if it'll last, but hey, even if it doesn't, I'm making progress.

I tried to quit something once but I gave up on it.

Well done and stay strong - hope you manage to stay off them for good.

Just think of how much money you will save a week, that must be an incentive.

Congratulations!

I've often heard that people struggle for quite awhile and it is a blessing that you are overcoming the craving in such a short and what sounds like an easy time.

^NVM that mug of beer, some folks say drinking makes them crave a smoke!

Booze and hookers.

My wife quit also but she isn't as pleasant as I am.

Drinking whine wine now.

Booze isn't an issue.

It's been years since I've even smoked indoors.

She quit smoking or she quit booze and hookers?

Congrats! If you keep at it it'll end up being one of the best decisions you've ever made. You were fine before smoking and you'll be fine after quitting smoking too.

Here's to hoping you stick with it! They say the first two weeks are the hardest but after that it's a lot easier. Just keep your mind occupied and off of smoking.

Get some lollipops and eat one when you have a craving, drink some water when you have a craving, I've even heard that keeping a rubber band around your wrist and popping yourself when you have a craving works. Just a few pointers for you.

Just smoking.

If she quit booze and hookers, she'd be unbearable to be around!

Thank you also.

I'm just getting too old to go outside and smoke and I hate the idea of stinking up my own home.

So maybe it's finally time for me to quit.

I quit over a year ago.

It feels like I haven't had a smoke in a year.

But, the money is nice.

It's my hip that makes that noise.

And the fact that I can call Keith Richards a youngster.

I'll probably always want a cigarette.

I always want a drink.
