Both necrophilia & pedophilia have a victim.

Pfft... I'm not working on that premise.

I guess if you say so that makes it so eh? No, this is not a part of my premise and I don't see why it would have to be so except for in your fantasy.

Yes.. right.. I realize this. It isn't really explicitly pertinent to my general point though.

By the way.. the Swedish proposal for necrophilia involved someone bequeathing their body after their death to somebody - allowing them to have sex with the corpse.. so technically you're wrong in this particular case.

I still say this is beyond dreadful.. Who in their right mind would argue for such laws, these people are touched in the head. Soulless nihilists without even the barest conception of anything sacred. Good and evil might as well be subjective to these people, something to further relativize in time given enough brainwashing.. a dangerous road to walk down upon.

Given enough time I'm confident I could brainwash these type of people into becoming a culture of brain eating killer clowns.. I'm not even kidding, give me a couple of hundred years and I could pull it off.

Unless the body is willed to science by person prior to death - - explicitly for sexual study - - - - its a victim.

A dead person can not give consent.

a reply to: TheLaughingGodNo fantasy involved, I'm just reading what you've written.

Society is made up of different kinds of people and there is no point in trying to tell poeple who don't care about the decline of society to care; there is no point in telling people with no morals to have morals.

Yes, there is no point in telling people to have YOUR morals. Please keep your hatred to yourself. Tis YOUR morals and bigotry that makes society decline.

a reply to: bigfatfurrytexanLet me get this straight:- you are telling me that how you see things is determined by popular opinion or law?

I hesitated to reply here....but how did you get that from my statement?

Morals are perspectives. That seems to be a true statement to me, so I agreed with it.

Can you explain the issue you are taking, or the clarification you need? What im understanding you to ask is non sequitur.

You claim that morals are determined by society.

You agree with me that morals are perspectives.

Perspective is how you see things.

Where did I say I was indifferent to incest?

Beware of interpretation.

Why are we talking about incest anyway?

It probably happens a lot more then people think.

How does it really hurt anything? Except in a scientific way?

It's socially unacceptable simply because Man said it is.

How should this be interpreted?

Calling out someone as having no morals bc you do not understand them is hateful but mostly ignorant.

Now i see why i hesitated to respond.

Do you believe that something someone types on the internet is absolute? Viewpoints don't develop? Statements aren't misstated?

My contributions to this thread are not testimony. They are just discussion. Casual discussion. More often than not, I play devils advocate (just for the sake of discussion). If you are reading my words here to try to ferret out my own personal viewpoints, you will likely find large incongruencies aplenty. I like to play with ideas without actually embracing them.

a reply to: veracityMorals are a personal perspective. If one is to declare that their values are dictated by popular thought or law, then they would appear to me to be amoral:- without morals. This person has merely adopted a certain code of conduct decided by others.

You'd suggest otherwise?
