Nope.

I am fearless! LOL

You have PM coming.

BTW: those terms haven't been discussed yet, same agenda? Or, do you have something different in mind?

I'd be up for that, my username on chess.com is the same as on here surfer_soul.
I usually prefer playing live chess blitz when I'm slightly drunk, I love the adrenaline rush I sometimes get, who'd have thought you can get an adrenaline rush from chess!

If anyone wants to challenge me to a turn based game though I will happily except.

How workable, attractive would it be . . .

to have the half game I've mentioned coded for play on ATS. Say charge $0.10--$0.25 per person per play or some such. ATS gets whatever % S.O. gets whatever % for coding etc. and I get whatever's mutually agreeably fair.

If it's not viable economically, I could handle free . . . but if it is viable--why not earn a little more for ATS?

The rules are from ancient antiquity so are in the public domain.

I'd like the simple half board version of 8 X 4 squares as well as a double board version for two sets of pieces--8 X 16.

I'd love to be able to play it online.

Thanks for your kind reply. It's just not something I can risk at my age. It fosters toooo much cortisol in my blood stream.

Thanks anyway.

Here's a link to the game: www.chess.com...

I,ve just got to this page and seen this post, your good SkepticO that was quite the example of a ruthless attack!

I have been caught out with the classic checkmate in four moves before, it's a funny old game.

I actually love my new temporary look...a bit like when a girlfriend encourages me to wear their sparkly ickle dress at a festival

Nah... GrainofSand simply opened the door. With some more experience, he'll be able to slam it in my face.

Thanks for your kind reply.

The half game is better for me. It's plenty complex but not something one has to think 10 moves ahead about. For one, you can't--not knowing what each upside down piece yet unturned is.

Each game STARTS differently because of the randomizing of upside down pieces. I like that, too.

I saw the rules once on a major chess board. I don't recall which one it is. I can beat all but about 5% of Taipei college students--if those I tried are any clue.

Sounds like a good JavaScript project for me. I'll get started on it tonight if I can find enough info on the game.

In order to win at chess. You have to sacrifice.

Think multiple moves ahead.

Each move setting up another, and another.

You got a cool little banner for this thread. I clicked on it and it brought me here. Anywho, I suck at chess or I'd play you. Have fun.
