White Privilege , Black School - The First White Valedictorian In Morehouse College History

White Privilege is a term thrown around non-stop in the media. White people are purported to have a benefit based on the color of their skin. Sometimes this "privilege" is so hard for white people to see, that it is nearly invisible. This video shows that white privilege is myth in today's society. The subject of the article Joshua Packwood claims that he has this white privilege, and comes from the most privileged group in the world. He then quickly refutes this statement in a contradictory manner, by pointing out the real culprit: economic privilege. If you have more money, and more resources, you have arguably more opportunity. It is then up to the person to either use this advantage, or to Paris Hilton it away. A poor white person living in the hood has no advantage over his minority peers. A rich white person will have an advantage over a poor white person, and a rich black person will have an advantage over a poor white person all the same. The white privilege meme is getting old and tired, and I really wish that society could move past all of this racism so we can focus on bigger issues.
This man is now a success, and came from a rough area and a disadvantaged economically hindered start. It is almost as bad as "you didn't build that" to say that this man made his life what it is due to the color of his skin and not his own personal efforts.

If some groups had to admit that a white guy could have actually earned what he has, they'd have to face that others could also earn such things, instead of demanding that everything be handed to them for free.

Plus, if people realized that it's the money that makes things happen, they might realize just how much control those in control actually have. Can't have the puppets peeking at the masters now, can we?
