i wanna bet he gets a slap on the wrist.
this is the guy who made hundreds of thousands in donation to the department.
im almost certain this trial is going to be just a formality.
the people whom needed to be greased and paid off already got their cut.
this is just going to be a circus trial and maybe a few months or hell be banned from volunteering with the dept.

A former Oklahoma volunteer sheriff's deputy who said he mistook his handgun for his stun gun when he fatally shot an unarmed suspect last year was convicted of second-degree manslaughter on Wednesday.

Jurors handed down the verdict in the case of 74-year-old Robert Bates, a wealthy insurance executive accused of fatally shooting Eric Harris while working with Tulsa County sheriff's deputies last year during an illegal gun sales sting. Harris, who had run from deputies, was restrained and unarmed when he was shot.

A 74 year old adrenaline junkie w/a huge billfold? He's already been sentenced and that would be the aforementioned "grease" Per the article, He donated $$, vehicles, etc. That got Him the job so He could cruise around at 74.. Turds like this probably sold Himself a policy so none of His $$$ gets seized..

74 would be a great golf score, and thats what He should've been doing in lieu of trying to be like Steven Segal w/a fake badge...

Then the audacity to pin it on the (S)/(V) and the defense tried to blame methamphetamine in His blood leading to a cardiac incident, I guess this was before they discovered the lead poisoning???

When I worked as a police officer We had a saying "This week's (s)-Suspect is next week's (v)-victim.." and NOT "Tonight's (s)-suspect will be tonight's (v)-victim.

Whose fault would it be if let's say there is a call for service at the local Target™ and en route to the Women's restroom for a "possible crossdresser peeking" this 74 y.o. has a "cardiac incident" like the poor slob this guy killed? Who gets blamed then?

Yet another pathetic interaction between the Police and those they WORK FOR!
