Throughout Our lives,
we choose different paths.
Taking a turn here and there,
giving US the life We now have.

I for one am glad I chose,
to turn towards The Shed.
I never in My wildest dreams,
thought this is where it led.

It led to Me finding,
all of You here.
You have all touched Me,
in positive ways so sincere.

My life has once again,
some meaning more than it had.
By You all sharing Your lives with Me,
of both the good and also the bad.

I never thought at all,
it would have change for the better,
My life.
I want to thank You all very much, especially I want to Thank My Wife.

She has endured all the trials,
of both good and bad from Me.
I place here before You all,
how much She means to Me.

Cindi (CCBears) I do Love You very much,
of this I'm sure You know.
Together at Home and In here,
We have new paths to go down,
new places We can go.

In this Fantasy realm We come to,
to share Our lives with all of those here.
I will take You to new horizons,
Because I love You so Very much My Dear...

Happy Anniversary CC!!

Ouch. Crikey, that was painful just to read.

Hope you'll recover soon enough.

You have my sympathies, mate. I did something similar at the cottage a while back. Slipped over while holding something and landed on a slab of granite. One of those "crawl back inside coz I can't stand up" kind of situations. It took a fair while to get over it. But then, I am (hopefully) a bit older than you.

Many and sincere thanks to everyone who posted to me while I was absent for a few hours. My wife's been awake a little and now gone back to bed. I'm checking on her every few minutes but can now spend a little time on here. No serious creative writing for me today. Just glad to be able to chill a bit with you all.

My wife and I first met on April 18, 1994. So, only 22 years ago. You beat us by seven years!

Thanks. It takes a lot to put me down. I'll bounce back eventually.

Falling on the granite must have been fun. Like loads of fun. It reminds me of a year ago. I was putting the dogs in and slipped on some ice. I went flying and landed flat on my back on the cinder blocks I use as steps. I landed right on my shoulder blades. Knocked the wind out of me and I'm laying there freezing trying to get up. I'm glad you recovered from that. I know it had to hurt.

Some pics from yesterday down at Kenova, West Virginia.

Heading towards a crew change at Russell, Kentucky before continuing on west towards Cincinnati, Ohio. A veteran General Electric wide cab leads a westbound manifest as it passes through Kenova.

Continuing west on its journey towards Cincinnati, Ohio. CSX 917 leads Q317 through Kenova as it heads towards Russell, Kentucky.

Bringing 107 loads of coal over from Old Yard and the Kenova Main. A Canadian National runs solo as it runs around "The Loop" over to New Yard and K.R.T..

Sub-lettered for the Illinois Central, This EF-644h rolls slowly along "The Loop" as it heads over towards K.R.T..

Working on the videos........... that may take a while to do.

They were all too busy getting drunk to care I guess? Either that, or I really sucked!! I do ok at times, after I have drank enough. BUt then, Everything sounds better the more wasted ya get!! Gravity is darned annoying at times. I hate being reminded of it that way.

One of the former owners of our cottage (I guess about 100 yrs ago) was a stone mason. So, all by the back door, he laid rough-worked granite slabs. Reduces slip in winter if there's ice around. Ditto granite slabs in the back part of the entrance hall, and out front as well. Heck, even the fence posts are granite, with notches for the fence rails!

But this was in summer. I had some bits of wood lying around from some shelving I'd made. It rained and they got wet. I walked on one while carrying something heavy (can't remember what) and started to slide. Anyway, couldn't use my hands, so the granite slab broke my fall when my knees hit it!

Really, it couldn't be any worse than some people I've heard. It can't be any worse than Rosanne Barr doing the national anthem. Let's just go with "they were too busy getting drunk to care". What song was it?

Gravity does suck. It's what keeps us on the ground.

That's a lot of granite. You're lucky you didn't wrench your back worse like that carrying a heavy load. Landing on your knees like you did, wow. I can't imagine doing that on granite.
