I most certainly agree...
I have not been very much of those qualities herein in the shed.
Truly... I don't even know what shed you're talking about. I just popped up the other day.
So... that aside... I will play my part.

I show respect to those who I feel deserve it. Not to those who demand I show respect or act in a higher than thou manner. So no I won't unless you've earned it.

EDIT: If you're going to be discussing this then I'm fine with leaving. Actually, almost anxious to do so. Though I know that is a quick emotional reaction merely.

Indeed we are.
I shall amend my earlier post to clarify that I was referring to mention of practices that are too dark to be presented in front of children.

This site, and this thread ARE ACCESSIBLE by children.
The T&C's for the site make this perfectly clear.

The Shed (1,2,3....) upheld the T&C's very well, but since shed4 the standards have slipped.

Of course. Everything is accessible to everyone essentially. But then should the internet be made illegal Honestly. I haven't noticed anyone break T&C. Well...unless it was crossed out by a mod, then yes, but it was dealt with.

We had members with genuine real life problems that we all rallied behind for the member.

They were members in need of good advice in dire times ...Not pity parties hosted by immature attention seekers.

This once awesome thread has lost it's way.

Hi Pin,
The Shed5 is not unsurprisingly, the fifth incarnation of The Shed.
It has survived and thrived because of it's high quality posting.
It was originally founded as a quiet place for a group of friends to meet, as their original thread had been related to a particular time of year (valentines day), and was closed down as valentines day faded into memory.
We had to go through a lot of trials and tribulations to get the shed established, because the staff weren't comfortable with the mixture of story-telling and chat that we had, and it took a great deal of effort and negotiation by some of the original shedites, especially jacygirl, Angelchemuel and nightstar, to get the shed permission to reside in chit-chat, even though it was based around story telling.

I'd recommend visiting the earlier incarnations of the Shed, to give yourself an idea of what the shed CAN BE.

We even had a Gathering in Real Life, where some of our Shedites got together for a whole weekend of fun and frolics on a Scottish Island! There is also a thread about that on ATS called "The Shed - The Gathering"

How am I egotistical? Yes I speak of myself if I want help. I have tried to have been there for others. Needy? No. I'm fine on my own. I'm not returning, no worries. Don't need to see your kind acting all high and mighty never realizing what another person has experienced.
