Back in December my brother and sister in law said they were going to see my mom (who I haven't seen since 2012) so she could see the new baby when she was born. They said they'd swing by and pick me up. I asked two weeks ago when they were planning to go. My sister in law says they'll go when my brother can get time off. Well, I was bored and decided to go on facebook today. I saw a pic of my mom holding the baby. They'd gone there without me. Didn't say a thing. No sorry, we can't do it maybe another time, nothing. Yes, it's quite a drive but still you don't say you're going to do something and not follow through.

Oh Honey, I am so sorry to hear this. That is just awful! 4 years is a long time and I'm sure your Mom would have been thrilled to have seen you. Have you called her?

Frankly, I would have a talk with both the Brother and Sister-In Law and let them know I feel. That was pretty rotten what they did. I would also let Mom know that you were supposed to go on the trip with them and that they left you behind!

I haven't called my mom yet. I think they're still up there for one, and for another I don't want to get even more mad. As for telling them how I feel, I'm not going to bother. In fact I'm not going to bother talking to either of them for a while; not that they'd care.

I think that is the best way, Skid - just let it go, and if they ask (they will likely have forgotten alll about it) later bring it up then.

Yep, just let it go and they will feel guilty. Let them bring it up!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day. Call your Mom tomorrow! You're mad and should be mad, but let your Mother know that you were supposed to be there. Otherwise, she will wonder why you didn't go or call.

And I agree that Skid should indeed call his mother - she is the important one on Sunday, and you should appreciate her while you have her, regardless of your brother and sister in law's antics.
